Neil Franklin's 216 Colours Page

This page shows the 6*6*6=216 colours that can be made by using for red, green and blue each of the 6 values 0x00 (= 0, is 0/5), 0x33 (= 51, is 1/5), 0x66 (= 102, is 2/5), 0x99 (= 153, is 3/5), 0xCC (= 204, is 4/5) and 0xFF (= 255, is 5/5).

These give an nice 216 colour cross selection of all colours, that will still fit in the RAMDAC of an 8 bit (256 colour) video card, leaving 40 colours over for the system.

This page is drawn as 6 blocks with increasing amounts of red, each showing all 6x6 green/blue combinations with that amount of red.
