I am looking for any info on how to
build longbows and recurves.  Books,
online material, other bowyers and
possible classes.  I've been shooting
for about 8 or 9 years.  I started with
a stick bow and soon after bought a
compound.  I currebntly shoot a Martin
Lynx which I love dearly, but I feel it
is time to get back to basics again.  I
have also been a carpenter for about the
same ammount of time, and I want to give
a try to making my own bow.  That all
being said any help would be
appreciated.

the best source of this information is from Bois D'Ard Press operated by Jim Hamm.  he has
put together the bowyers bible, a three vol set,  which is the most extensive source of
information I have seen before. he also has an earlier book called bows and arrows of the
native americans which is very good also.
