Actually happened today: Sitting in college library buisily reading Costain's Magnificent Century and over heard two young lads discussing the SCA. One said,"And they have a war with 5,000 people on a field rushing at each other! The kingdom Atenveldt fought the Western Kingdom in California......" Not wishing to squish their enthusiasm, I politely walk over to their table and addressed them thus: "My lords, it was the Kingdom of Outlands that Atenveldt fought this year." I curtsied and walked off. Their chins dropped with a clunk.
