It was a pen and paper type RPG that was published sometimes in the 80s by Chaosium Inc and written by Sandy Peterson, who later became a CRPG milionaire (or at least made alot of money off it). To this day, I have only met one other person who actually played the game. The problem was that it was so different from other RPGs at that time. Most RPGs were mostly about killing monsters and taking their treasure. EQ is more about survival, relations between the elves, exploring the world and yourself. These were things that played a very small role in RPGs untill the 90s. I think the problem was that EQ was published too early. I for one, wouldnt mind seeing a new version of the game. >5 Elfquest drawings that I've done earlier have been added >to my art gallery! I had been looking for it for years and was very pleased to finally get it. After reading through the system, though, I realized it is very dated. The source material is very good, though, and provides a lot of insight into the world of Two Moons as well as ways to create new elf tribes. The maps are also very handy. What I would suggest is tracking down the RPG material using EBay or Amazon (I've seen it there once), then using another more universal system for the actual mechanics such as d20 or GURPS. Well that depends somewhat on who holds the license to publish the game. Richard what is status of ElfQuest RPG? A d20 or Open game license might aid sales of comics. > > Also, this is my first post to this group! Hi, guys. Elfquest rules. > Welcome to the group.
