I won't bore you with the story. Safe to say, I'm trying to catch up and get what I'm missing from my elfquest collection. I checked the elfquest web site, but I'm afraid the whole "Reader Collection" thing didn't help me much. I really would like to see what exactly in each volume. For example I know that Fire and Flight is the original elfquest issues #1-5. Here's what I have: All graphic novels up through #9 All of shards and all of Hidden years. New Elfquest 1-15, 20-22 What issue are they at now? I saw an earlier posting mentioning the light traffic on this group was caused by low output by Warp. Can anyone enlighten me? I'm sure I just didn't look in the right spot on the web site. Back to my original question. If I can't find the missing issues, which I can't seem to, do I have to buy all of the Readers collections... (Insert Richard: "Yes! Yes!") ...that have to do with any of the stories in the new elfquest? If anyone knows of a good comic store on the web (obviously that carries Elfquest) I'd love to hear it. You dont have to read every "Jedi Kids" novel to know what's going on. Your life will not be complete, however, without "Dreamtime" and "In All But Blood", as the former bridges books 8 and 9 and the latter appears to be set-up for the "final" quest. (AFTER getting the stuff Fairlight mentioned, those are your top priority! "Dreamtime" especially is essential EQ.) > If anyone knows of a good comic store on the web (obviously that > carries Elfquest) I'd love to hear it. > Well, I filled in the gaps in my Blood of Ten Chiefs collection at Mostly Independents . There's been an awful lot of talk (not on *this* list) about Elfquest finally going the 'traditional' route to the movies, i.e. being optioned by the kind of firm that might expect a certain degree of creative control. From recent things that Richard's said, this seems unlikely to be the case. But I thought it was interesting that some comic-nerd types are boasting among themselves that Elfquest is about to be "sold" as if that were some kind of personal victory for them. Just demonstrating their inferiority complexes. And is is an victory for them, as it gets rid of "an annoying exeption" that is too much for them to fit into their limited minds. And their lack of knowledge of Elfquest history. What are the bets on Wendy and Richard pulling annother "do it your self" on us? - Once they had a great comic story. Traditional publishers failed them. So we got to see 20 40-page b&w comics every 3 months. Later collected into graphical novels. That started the independant comics industry. - Then they wanted to do an animated movie. Traditional publishers are failing them again and again (since 20 years!). ... When do we get to see 10 30-minute (or 20 15-minute) video CDs every 3 months? Later collected with extras into an big DVD edition? And starting the independant animation industry while at it? Done so in slices it should be financable (the same reason the comics were like that). And todays computer animation should be up to it. With improved animation in a few years for the DVD (like the comic re-colourings). And please, like the original comics, also viewable everywhere worldwide (no DVD region codes) and with lasting value (no DVD CSS encryption). This wish also applies if they do get an traditional animation. -- Neil Franklin, neil@franklin.ch.remove http://neil.franklin.ch/ Hacker, Unix Guru, El Eng HTL/BSc, Programmer, Archer, Blacksmith - hardware runs the world, software controls the hardware code generates the software, have you coded today? ###### From: Just a question Newsgroups: rec.arts.comics.elfquest Subject: Re: Am I the only one?
