I'd like to take it with me while backpacking. Ideally it would have that bible-like very thin paper. Anybody have an idea if this kind of print exists? I've seen one, but it's in dutch, and I'd like to have an english version. Thanks in advance, Wim ###### From: qx1741@bigfoot.com (Stan Brown) Newsgroups: rec.arts.books.tolkien Subject: Re: Looking for small hardcover version of 'the book' Date: Tue, 13 Aug 2002 09:05:32 -0400 Organization: Oak Road Systems Message-ID: References: <8a38d234.0208130101.5d494668@posting.google.com> X-Newsreader: MicroPlanet Gravity v2.10 X-Complaints-To: newsabuse@supernews.com Lines: 20 Path: chonsp.franklin.ch!pfaff.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!news.mailgate.org!newsfeed.icl.net!newsfeed.fjserv.net!isdnet!sn-xit-02!sn-xit-06!sn-post-02!sn-post-01!supernews.com!corp.supernews.com!not-for-mail Xref: chonsp.franklin.ch rec.arts.books.tolkien:92119 Wim wrote in rec.arts.books.tolkien: >I'm looking for a small hardcover version of 'the lord of the rings'. >I'd like to take it with me while backpacking. I can't directly answer your question, but the English term for that paper is "india paper" (lower-case "i"). That might help you in your searching. -- Stan Brown, Oak Road Systems, Cortland County, New York, USA http://oakroadsystems.com Tolkien FAQs: http://Tolkien.slimy.com (Steuard Jensen's site) Tolkien letters FAQ: http://users.telerama.com/~taliesen/tolkien/lettersfaq.html FAQ of the Rings: http://oakroadsystems.com/genl/ringfaq.htm Encyclopedia of Arda: http://www.glyphweb.com/arda/default.htm more FAQs: http://oakroadsystems.com/tech/faqget.htm ###### From: henrik_gustafsson@hotmail.com (becte) Newsgroups: rec.arts.books.tolkien Subject: Re: Looking for small hardcover version of 'the book' Date: 13 Aug 2002 13:41:40 -0700 Organization: http://groups.google.com/ Lines: 21 Message-ID: References: <8a38d234.0208130101.5d494668@posting.google.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: 212.151.51.26 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit X-Trace: posting.google.com 1029271300 9446 127.0.0.1 (13 Aug 2002 20:41:40 GMT) X-Complaints-To: groups-abuse@google.com NNTP-Posting-Date: 13 Aug 2002 20:41:40 GMT Path: chonsp.franklin.ch!pfaff.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!news.mailgate.org!cyclone.bc.net!newsfeed.stanford.edu!postnews1.google.com!not-for-mail Xref: chonsp.franklin.ch rec.arts.books.tolkien:92128 wimglassee@yahoo.com (Wim) wrote in message news:<8a38d234.0208130101.5d494668@posting.google.com>... > Hi all, > > I'm looking for a small hardcover version of 'the lord of the rings'. > I'd like to take it with me while backpacking.
