Does anyone think that any of the three remaining dwarf ring survinved the destruction of Barad-dur? If so, would any of the dwarves gone through the trouble of going through the rubble to retrieve any of them? After all, if they did survive, they'd probably be as useless as the Three, but I'm sure the dwarves still would have been interested in them as heirlooms, particularly the Durin's ring, which was known to be in Sauron's possession. --Dave ###### From: the softrat Newsgroups: rec.arts.books.tolkien Subject: Re: Fate of the Seven Date: Sat, 06 May 2000 02:05:37 -0700 Organization: Posted via Supernews, http://www.supernews.com Lines: 21 Message-ID: References: <14889-3913B7E1-25@storefull-255.iap.bryant.webtv.net> X-Complaints-To: newsabuse@supernews.com X-Newsreader: Forte Agent 1.8/32.548 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Path: chonsp.franklin.ch!pfaff.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!newsfeed-zh.ip-plus.net!news.ip-plus.net!news.datacomm.ch!newscore.gigabell.net!newsfeed.icl.net!netnews.com!newsfeed.direct.ca!news.he.net!sn-xit-03!supernews.com!sn-inject-01!news.supernews.com!not-for-mail Xref: chonsp.franklin.ch rec.arts.books.tolkien:18567 On Sat, 6 May 2000 02:12:49 -0400 (EDT), orius@webtv.net (David Sulger) wrote: >Does anyone think that any of the three remaining dwarf ring survinved >the destruction of Barad-dur? The heights of Judea are the material thrown up by the digging. The dwarves never found the rings. the softrat mailto:softrat@pobox.com -- No matter where you go, there you are
