Do you know for sure that your friend was named >for the land in Tolkien and not for that family? > I heard the Rohan's were a nefarious group of scoundrels. The most notorious knave of the whole sordid clan, one Mickey S. Rohan (aka Mickey Blue Eyes), was, in his youth, a loanshark and extortionist who was noted for breaking up bars and carrying off young wenches with his crew Tom Collins and Harvey Wallbanger. Mickey eventually rose to head the entire Rohan crime syndicate and assumed the title "Rohan de tutti Rohan" Mickey's ascension was preceeded by what became known as the "Mathom-house Massacre" in which the other heads of the Five Families were gunned down, thus paving the way for Mickey's rise to the top. Years later and apparently feeling his mortality, Mickey left the Rohan crime syndicate and retired to a simple country life. In order to atone for the crimes of his youth, it is believed that Mickey has been making large anonymous donations to various charities. It should be noted however that the recipients of these cash gifts have tended to be homes for runaway teenage girls. In his retirement, Mickey has become noted as a grower of fine hybrid roses. Indeed, he has gone into partnership with the noted B. Humphries of Moria, and W.K. Angmar of the Morgul Vale. Their latest collaboration, the Elanor Rose, won the Blue Ribbon at the All-England Rose Show. Rumors of intimidation of the judges of that event have been widely denied. Russ
