After reading the archives of this group, I see that that the iMPACT tool won't run under linux. I have a home made parallel III cable and am trying to program an XC9536 CPLD. How are other people doing this? Thanks so much for any help/advice you can provide, regards, James Fitzsimons ###### User-Agent: Halime (MacOSX)/1.0rc1 Newsgroups: comp.arch.fpga Message-ID: <20030909182654617+1200@news.paradise.net.nz> References: <842dc172.0309081906.10d2085b@posting.google.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="ISO-8859-15" Subject: Re: Programming Xilinx CPLD under linux From: James Fitzsimons Organization: Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Lines: 24 Date: Tue, 09 Sep 2003 06:27:56 GMT NNTP-Posting-Host: 210.246.12.243 X-Complaints-To: abuse@tsnz.net X-Trace: news02.tsnz.net 1063088876 210.246.12.243 (Tue, 09 Sep 2003 18:27:56 NZST) NNTP-Posting-Date: Tue, 09 Sep 2003 18:27:56 NZST Path: chonsp.franklin.ch!pfaff2.ethz.ch!pfaff.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!switch.ch!news.imp.ch!news.imp.ch!news-spur1.maxwell.syr.edu!news.maxwell.syr.edu!news-out1.nntp.be!propagator2-sterling!In.nntp.be!newsfeed01.tsnz.net!news02.tsnz.net!not-for-mail Xref: chonsp.franklin.ch comp.arch.fpga:32695 > xilinx has released the native linux version. We have ported this SVF Player on Linux two weeks ago, and it works well. (SVF Player is a script placed in our Chameleon Programmer software www.amontec.com/chameleon.shtml) I need to check with my Team if we can play with XC9536 CPLD. So, if you really need a Linux solution, we can have a SVF solution. Contact me directly for more on this issue.
