I know I've got room on the disk: .sys f System File Structures: Name Free Mount DSKB 103710 3 Total Free 103710 Yet when I try to restore the second Algol tape to [10,510] (this is where it claims to have originally lived), it bombs. I just restored the whole tape to [1,2] no problem, and I want to copy it so I tried the following: .copy [10,510]=al*.* ? ALG10A.DIR (14) no room or quota exceeded It looks like I'm exceeding a quota, but what? I've used OPR to show all the quota's on the system, and only 1,2 25,117, and 30,1 have quota's set. Anyone have any clues for me? Ah! Thank you. I'm embarassed to admit I couldn't remember that one. What bothers me is that these restores didn't set the quotas correctly when installing the system. We fixed that side effect of the installation procedures a long, long time ago...6.03A if I recall correctly. /BAH /BAH Subtract a hundred and four for e-mail. ###### From: Johnny Eriksson Newsgroups: alt.sys.pdp10 Subject: Re: TOPS-10 Quota question Date: 20 Oct 2001 12:04:44 +0200 Lines: 30 Sender: bygg@hector-lector.stacken.kth.se Message-ID: References: NNTP-Posting-Host: hector-lector.stacken.kth.se Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii User-Agent: Gnus/5.0803 (Gnus v5.8.3) Emacs/20.6 Path: chonsp.franklin.ch!pfaff.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!news-ge.switch.ch!news.tele.dk!small.news.tele.dk!129.240.148.23!uio.no!news.kth.se!not-for-mail Xref: chonsp.franklin.ch alt.sys.pdp10:7196 "Zane H. Could the fact that this tape was written with something like 6.03 have anything to do with my problem? The tape was written on 18-MAY-1978 by System: 6.03 Tops-10 KS10 System. When I did the restore I was having it create [10,510] for me, rather than my first creating it. If all you did was do a restore, then the UFD was saved on the tape that way. Were there files in that UFD on the tape? /BAH Subtract a hundred and four for e-mail. ###### From: "Zane H. I was looking through the Operator Manual and some other doc's last night trying to figure that out. >>Could the fact that this tape was written with something like 6.03 have >>anything to do with my problem? The reason I used that one is that's where they'd come from.
