All the materials can be gotten from my ITS hacking page http://www.cosmic.com/u/mirian/its/ My document "Building an ITS from scratch on the Supnik PDP-10 simulator" available from that page should give you all the information you need to get started. I've not yet tested this instructions with the 2.7 beta of SIMH which was just announced. However, they do work with the latest 2.6b release. For now, I only have enough of a distribution to get you a minimal (though functional) install. However, I hope to add MIDAS, TECO and EMACS very shortly. --Mirian ###### Message-ID: <3B932F5A.A103AE23@ev1.net> From: Charles Richmond Reply-To: richmond@ev1.net Organization: Cannine Computer Center X-Mailer: Mozilla 4.7C-CCK-MCD {C-UDP; EBM-APPLE} (Macintosh; I; PPC) X-Accept-Language: en MIME-Version: 1.0 Newsgroups: alt.sys.pdp10 Subject: Re: ITS on the Supnik PDP-10 simulator References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Lines: 26 Date: Mon, 03 Sep 2001 05:23:19 GMT NNTP-Posting-Host: 24.179.111.125 X-Complaints-To: abuse@home.net X-Trace: news2.rdc2.tx.home.com 999494599 24.179.111.125 (Sun, 02 Sep 2001 22:23:19 PDT) NNTP-Posting-Date: Sun, 02 Sep 2001 22:23:19 PDT Path: chonsp.franklin.ch!pfaff.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!news-ge.switch.ch!enews.sgi.com!newshub2.rdc1.sfba.home.com!news.home.com!news2.rdc2.tx.home.com.POSTED!not-for-mail Xref: chonsp.franklin.ch alt.sys.pdp10:6606 Mirian Crzig Lennox wrote: > > I am pleased to announce that I have a bootstrap distribution available > of ITS for Bob Supnik's PDP-10 simulator. > > All the materials can be gotten from my ITS hacking page > http://www.cosmic.com/u/mirian/its/ > > My document "Building an ITS from scratch on the Supnik PDP-10 > simulator" available from that page should give you all the information > you need to get started. > > I've not yet tested this instructions with the 2.7 beta of SIMH which > was just announced. I saw in your document on building ITS that the OS is Y2K compliant. I will update the simulator so that set cpu its automatically sets the Y2K flag. (The TOPS20 flag should do the same thing.) In fact, this flag only affects the TCU150 time of year clock, which neither ITS nor TOPS-20 appears to use. The simulator still needs 1-proceed capabilities, to support single stepping in DDT. /Bob On Sun, 02 Sep 2001 20:06:43 GMT, mirian@trantor.cosmic.com (Mirian Crzig Lennox) wrote: >I am pleased to announce that I have a bootstrap distribution available >of ITS for Bob Supnik's PDP-10 simulator. > >All the materials can be gotten from my ITS hacking page > http://www.cosmic.com/u/mirian/its/ > >My document "Building an ITS from scratch on the Supnik PDP-10 >simulator" available from that page should give you all the information >you need to get started. > >I've not yet tested this instructions with the 2.7 beta of SIMH which >was just announced.
