Once in a great while, I'd have a system crasher. To verify that I had really caused the crash, I'd do a SEND ALL message telling everybody to close their files, then do a SEND ALL countdown, then try the program that crashed the system. Then I'd get to write TW a love note with pointers to the program and how to run it. For some reason, the bugs I'd uncover were always in his balliwack. I had less pissed off people doing that than if I'd just tried it with no warning. /BAH Subtract a hundred and four for e-mail. ###### From: R.J.S.@not.a.net Newsgroups: alt.sys.pdp10 Subject: Re: Bus-attached displays Date: Mon, 30 Jul 2001 15:11:03 -0400 Organization: http://extra.newsguy.com Lines: 25 Message-ID: References: <3B54C549.36EC4F56@trailing-edge.com> <3B60485A.63168550@jetnet.ab.ca> <3B60556D.FCED8ED1@bartek.dontspamme.net> <6ug0bjlb4z.fsf@chonsp.franklin.ch> <9jsdhd$ae2$1@newsmaster.cc.columbia.edu> <3B622B48.BB5C98BA@Empire.Net> <9k121u$lpe$3@bob.news.rcn.net> <5659mt84eeqmuc270gdse3rtpql5rdp31s@4ax.com> <9k3ef3$s1c$1@bob.news.rcn.net> NNTP-Posting-Host: p-153.newsdawg.com Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Newsreader: Forte Agent 1.8/32.548 X-Original-NNTP-Posting-Host: super7.dnpg.com X-Original-Trace: 30 Jul 2001 15:03:03 -0400, super7.dnpg.com Path: chonsp.franklin.ch!pfaff.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!news-ge.switch.ch!news.maxwell.syr.edu!howland.erols.net!news-out.worldnet.att.net.MISMATCH!wn3feed!worldnet.att.net!209.155.233.17!pln-w!spln!dex!extra.newsguy.com!newsp.newsguy.com!web.dnpg.com Xref: chonsp.franklin.ch alt.sys.pdp10:6260 On Mon, 30 Jul 01 08:13:32 GMT, jmfbahciv@aol.com wrote: >In article <5659mt84eeqmuc270gdse3rtpql5rdp31s@4ax.com>, > R.J.S. wrote: >>Swap read error. > >ROTFL. The LDS-I then drove its' displays.
