This stuff looked very similar to photographs I've seen of psychics at the turn of the century who used to project ectoplasm from their bodies while in a trance. Has anyone had any similar experiences? Does anyone know what was happening and what it might signify? I had a vague impression that there may have been more than one of these "tubes" of twisting white cloth projecting from my prone body. ###### From: "Br. This sounds like the beginning of a classic OBE, except that you are *very* accurate in your noticing that there might have been more than one "tube". Keep notes on your experiences! Good work on noting what time in your sleep cycle it was. Can you generally observe yourself go through the various stages of sleep? Did your awareness "shut down" for an instant, and then did you awaken to this experience? It might seem like a small difference, but only you will be able to tell what is a stage two (light sleep) hallucination and an astral experience. If you can perceive more than one tube, it might mean you have a lot of psychic possibilities that others don't.
