You know it's funny, I could have sworn that all the A/C motors at my house really were spinning, how delusional I must be. And the noise coming out of that box with the antenna sticking out of it! What grand shared audio hallucinations that has caused for my friends and I. And don't forget the little car that I used to "control" with the little box with the two knobs, that was surely subconscious physhic mind powers and not that rubbish "radio control" bah! And the bladeless turbine, it's doesn't REALLY work, just a fancy trick that makes it LOOK like it's more efficient and realable than conventional turbines, probably uses mirrors. And the fact that he observed radiant energy over 10 years before cosmic rays were discoverd, mere coincidence! His pioneering efforts in X-Ray and Radar? Poppycock! His Tesla shied, now that surely was purely the ramblings of a lunatic, after all he never demonstrated it! But wait... a few years ago 3M workers walking under plastic sheets traveling parrallel to one another at high speeds ran into an invisible wall, the couldn't move past that point until the plastic was stopped. Kinda makes you think doesn't it? Of course his name is often associated with free energy loons, but Tesla only had two devices any where near free energy, one, the magnifying tranformer at wardenclyffe he referred to as free energy, but he meant "free" in the since that consumers wouldn't have to pay for it. His intent was to direct it into the ground for simple "tapping into" by anyone. The proof of concept can be made by anyone with the inclination to build two Tesla coils and setup the experiment themselves, sure there are implementation problems (far too many now to make it feasible, but this was before most homes even had electricity, much less fancy electronic devices). This device ran off of power from a power station. He second machine that free energy (as in conservation of energy violating perpetual motion machines)experimenters like to point to, the device recorded by the New York Times (albeit only anecdotal evidence) was not free energy at all, the energy didn't appear out of nowhere, (if the machine actually worked) it converted the energy from cosmic rays. Which might sound crazy, but so would converting light to electricty, but we do it everyday, and the illusion of energy from nowhere is very much there. But blaming Tesla becuase free energy advocates like to use his theories to support their baseless ideas is like blaming Steven Hawkings because us woo-woos like to use Quantum Physics to explain ghosts and such! Of course he believed in Ether, which was proved wrong, but damn, so did just about every other scientist in the day. And of course he had his share of crackpot ideas, but that's no reason to take away from what he accomplished and call him a psuedoscientist, heck even Newton thought that alchemy was possible, why not label him a psuedoscientist? But sadly this is just another case of skeptical bias (what they have against Tesla I don't know) except for the fact that he made Edison look like an ass and science and history books seem to love to praise Edison. If every scientist who is ever wrong is to be shunned then how would we advance. (Of course, Tesla did have a habit of proving alot of conventional thinking wrong (First in the idea that A/C was not possible, then in the idea that is was not safe, the recent 3M incident proved his Tesla Shield was possible, wireless transmission of power) I know how much skeptics hate to see scientific dogma proven wrong. Question is which side of that equation is real psuedoscience, the ones who cling to accepted "fact" or the ones who seek to prove it wrong? -- "I'm willing to J.O.B., just not on no jagg-off shoe-shine tip" "Jagg-off shoe-shine tip?"
