Now, for the record about myself, I'm 39 and have been involved in the paranormal since 3, when I first started controlling my dreams, not knowing (obviously), that this was not "normal" for a 3 yr old. My last experience of the paranormal was a LD that I had about a month ago. I knew in the LD that it was a LD. My girlfriend and her kids were in it, and I was laughing to myself (in the LD), that I knew what was happening, and they were unaware. It took place in her house, another one, not the "real" one. I knew during the LD that she was really in Germany at the time, and her kids were in Illinios. I purposely decided not to inform her during the LD of what was currently happening, for fear that if she did become "aware" of the circumstances, she would get the f-----g shock of her life and couldn't hanlde it. I "went back" to my body that was asleep in bed to verify the "real world" conditions. I easily felt my body, and immediately reentered the LD by volition. I did this 4 or 5 times. Total time in LD was around 10-15 minutes. Lately, my experiences are LDs, but let me assure you, Ty and the group, that my experiences are varied, and I could only guess that over the years they number around 500 or more. I never kept count, thought everything was "normal" until I was about 23. I have had numerous LDs, OBEs, known things in advance, found things/people(one dead), broke statues from about 8 miles away (demolished a foot high statue of 3 eagles in flight, not proud of it now :( ), and on and on and on !!! Yes, my experience goes way beyond LDs and OBEs, as I am sure a lot of the frequent posters have had, or won't admit. I decided a long time ago to use any abilities for good. This stuff, when you have been there/done that, and you have done a LOT, leaves you with the ultimate decision as to how you want to deal with it (what to do, good, bad, or indifferent). I believe what goes around comes around, and a person that has abilities should stay on the good side, unless you want to pay for it later. I could go into detail about a lot of my experiences to please all of you about my veracity, but I will tell you about 2 anyways so those that are better aquainted with the paranormal will understand. Around 1983, an old girlfriend was missing, nobody(?) knew anything. Several months later, I went hunting in the desert and had to cross a dry wash to get to my spot. When in the wash I had an incredible ugre to stay in the wash and walk down it, feeling like I was being guided. After going about 200 feet, I turned right to a small wash with cliffs about 10 feet high. I had an incredible urge to dig. I went back home and returned a few days later with a bucket and shovels. I dug in the dirt walls there, not in the bottom. I couldn't understand my deep urge to return to this spot and dig (about 10 miles out from the city). I went home not satified as to why I had to do this. A few months later, I was told that she was found. I asked her half-brother to show me the spot. He drove us out to the desert, and in the whole f-----g desert, he walked right up to where I was digging earlier. I didn't clue him in that I was there before. Days, or a few weeks later, I went back to make peace with myself about this whole thing. I saw something on the ground there that had dry mud on it (from the rains) that looked like a piece of weathered wood. I brushed off the dirt, and in the center was a hole. Yes, it was one of her vertebra. I was told earlier that they only found about half of her because of all the rain pouring down over walls during the monsoons. Tell you what guys, to be guided to a spot, to stand right over a buried woman (not knowing it yet), want to dig, be taken back to that exact spot, then go back and find a bone, touching it, from someone you once made love to, is an experience beyond "normal". As it turned out, the boyfriend she had at the time she was missing killed her and buried her there. He was arrested and convicted. Here's the 2nd one, and I'll make it shorter. Around 1990 I was TDY in Alabama for about 4 months and got a girlfriend there. When she first showed me her apartment, the 'ol mind started clicking again. The place had four rooms, living room, kitchen/dining, and two bedrooms. I was NOT trying to get "vibes", was just being "normal". We entered the apartment inot the livingroom first, then she showed me the kitchen, then her bedroom, and then the 2nd bedroom. As soon as I entered the 2nd bedroom I felt this incredible sense of dread, completely overwhelming. To shorten the story, over the course of about the next 3 days of going over to her place and visiting that room, I felt a 48 yr old female, dead in a particular corner of the room, and a gun was involved. I told this to my girlfriend, and to go to her landlord and ask about the history of the apartment (not to mention my feelings). The landlord told her the previous tenant was a 48 yr old female, found dead, shot to death and found in the corner I mentioned to my girlfriend. Yea, I can hear it now from all of the lurkers and some posters that are "normal", and have not had hundreds of experiences of ALL different kinds. Well, I feel sorry for those of you that can't see/feel beyond your "normal" world, no bad intentions, OK :)? For those of you that normally post, and do understand where I'm coming from, I would appreciate it if you would not mind if I sometimes get on board and chat with you. The reason for my user name, incubus, is not due to bad intentions or any reality of the like on my part. It's basically a defensive mechanism, to mean nightmare, not the usual meaning for those of you that are familiar with the term. I hate mind games, and will not start them, but if someone wants to start one with me, then I pretty much feel at the start that the game is already over, only they just don't know it yet. Like my front license plate says: SEE YOU IN YOUR MYND. No, I did not misspell the last word. In other words, if someone wants to play head games, their mind in mine. Ty, this one is for you. You seem to want to define the paranormal with a dictionary, but did seem to give in a bit about all the things mentioned by the usual posters. From reading your post, it looks like you don't have any or much personal experience with the subject. This is NOT an attack on you, ok bud :)? Don't fear the above stuff I wrote either, ok? I just try to stay away from screwing with others, but will defend myself if someone else starts and I feel the need to stand up if it's important enough. Don't try to define wake/woke up, and other descriptions of the subject unless you understand the waters you are treading on. Instead, first ask those that claim these things to clarify what they mean. We that can do "things" usually use these terms loosely among ourselves, and understand very well what we mean, even though to an "normal" or less experienced person the talk sounds like something is missing, as though we are getting things confused. You want to look up a word, my favorite?, then look up noumenon, bet you Kant do it :) ! LDs and OBEs are about as close as you can get to the defintion to the "theory" of that word. I have had and untold number of LDs and OBEs. They can be fun and unbelievably exciting, or scary, it all depends on you and your mental state/feelings about them. Good luck in your future endeavors to explore the world of the unusual. If you can handle it, and not get scared, it's mind-blowing beyond all proportions of the good kind. Just remember to stay on the GOOD side, if you find yourself becoming experienced. Anyone is invited to comment on this post from me, a newbie, my first post. I will look at all posts, and give them credit based upon your personal experiences. Those that have not done "things", and just want to tear my post to sheds won't get much credit from me. In other words, if you have not been there/done that, then your words are pretty much useless, but even those types of posts are welcome. I can learn from anyone. For those of you that are experienced, please share your experiences with me, and possibly techniques also. I thank anyone that comments on this post, good or bad. Best of luck to those that are already "there", and those that are just now learning/starting. Such talents are greatly sought after and allowing yourself to be studied under controlled conditions would certainly add greatly to the database of parapsychological studies. Just a thought, but one I hope you'd consider doing. I have contacts at most of the major labs, both here and in the UK/Europe. I'd be glad to make the introductions. Meanwhile, welcome, and I look forward to your input. Well, I feel sorry for those of you that can't see/feel beyond your : "normal" world, no bad intentions, OK :)? : For those of you that normally post, and do understand where I'm coming : from, I would appreciate it if you would not mind if I sometimes get on : board and chat with you. The reason for my user name, incubus, is not due : to bad intentions or any reality of the like on my part. It's basically a : defensive mechanism, to mean nightmare, not the usual meaning for those of : you that are familiar with the term. I hate mind games, and will not start : them, but if someone wants to start one with me, then I pretty much feel at : the start that the game is already over, only they just don't know it yet. : Like my front license plate says: SEE YOU IN YOUR MYND. No, I did not : misspell the last word. In other words, if someone wants to play head : games, their mind in mine. : Ty, this one is for you. You seem to want to define the paranormal : with a dictionary, but did seem to give in a bit about all the things : mentioned by the usual posters. From reading your post, it looks like you : don't have any or much personal experience with the subject. This is NOT an : attack on you, ok bud :)? Don't fear the above stuff I wrote either, ok? I : just try to stay away from screwing with others, but will defend myself if : someone else starts and I feel the need to stand up if it's important : enough. Don't try to define wake/woke up, and other descriptions of the : subject unless you understand the waters you are treading on. Instead, : first ask those that claim these things to clarify what they mean. We that : can do "things" usually use these terms loosely among ourselves, and : understand very well what we mean, even though to an "normal" or less : experienced person the talk sounds like something is missing, as though we : are getting things confused. You want to look up a word, my favorite?, then : look up noumenon, bet you Kant do it :) ! LDs and OBEs are about as close : as you can get to the defintion to the "theory" of that word. I have had : and untold number of LDs and OBEs. They can be fun and unbelievably : exciting, or scary, it all depends on you and your mental state/feelings : about them. Good luck in your future endeavors to explore the world of the : unusual. If you can handle it, and not get scared, it's mind-blowing beyond : all proportions of the good kind. Just remember to stay on the GOOD side, : if you find yourself becoming experienced. : Anyone is invited to comment on this post from me, a newbie, my first : post. I will look at all posts, and give them credit based upon your : personal experiences. Those that have not done "things", and just want to : tear my post to sheds won't get much credit from me. In other words, if you : have not been there/done that, then your words are pretty much useless, but : even those types of posts are welcome. I can learn from anyone. For those : of you that are experienced, please share your experiences with me, and : possibly techniques also. I thank anyone that comments on this post, good : or bad. Best of luck to those that are already "there", and those that are : just now learning/starting. : : See you down : the mental road, : : : Weasel : :
