Definitely. Absolutely.

Not just flamed to crisp, but also lose your Internet account.
Because Usenet is for dicussions, not for distributing massive
texts. Doing so would be a clear breach of your contract with
your provider.

Note that this is unless you post to an alt.binaires.* group,
they are explicitely made for doing such.

But large texts should really be put up on websites and then
URLs posted to Usenet.


Oh, and don't forget the possibly that you may be put up in front of
court for breaking copyright law if you do either of above (assuming
you are not perchance the copyright owner of said book).
