If so you can reload the messages. But they will all be marked as unread. First try to change tools/options for the number of days to display a message. then reload the NG. If that does not work then (as a last resort) unsubscribe then resubscribe to the NG. Select it in newsgroups and reset the list. Then mark them for retrieval. Change the tools/options so than messages are retained for X days before being deleted. This is probably what happened. (The message was x days old and was removed by the program.) I hope this helps. Don't unsubscribe/resubscribe except as a last resort as it is tedious to go through all the messages again to determine if you've read them. It really isn't up to running W95/98. We will upgrane to a nice PIII soon. Julia's problem should be fixed now. We are running Free Agent and the "purge" settings were wrong.
