He will not hear it, nor care less. That guy is a spammer. Spammers are the Internet equivalent of someone who walks into an public space and goes around shouting (see the all upper case letters) his message around, interrupting everyone, and then leaves without ever using his ears. (He wants publicity for himself, not to take part in discussions, all he wants is the catch the odd person who may react in the way he desires for his profit.) Spammers are the rudest (and most hated) sort of people on the net. The best thing you can do about spammers is to send complaints to their Internet providers (who usually close down their accounts, so at least they lose them their prepaid fees, plus possibly charge them for breach of contract (spamming is against most providers usage agreement)). This though requires quite a bit of technical knowledge to find the proper person to complain to, so this is done mainly by the Internet old timers (I do it about 5-10 times every week, mainly to email spammers (I am by profession email postmaster)). For the rest of people the best thing to do is to simply ignore the spammers. And not waste more network with futile complaints to them. Actually all 3 spammers you complained to had allready had their messages killed before I downloaded my posts today. So they are allready being treated by the usenet anti-spammers. Actually I am surprised that you got them. Perhaps just bad luck in timing (recognizing and killing spam posts takes a small delay). Or perhaps WebTV doesn't do such a good job of applying the kill requests. -- Neil Franklin, Nerd, Geek, Unix Wizzard and Guru, Hacker, Mystic neil@franklin.ch.remove http://neil.franklin.ch/ Computer: toy that speeds work, so you have more time to play with it
