It's not the most adventurous OBE I've had, but some of you still might find it worth reading. Hope you enjoy it. ------------------- June 5, 1999 Late morning This morning around 6:00 or 7:00 I had 3 pretty cool OBEs that lasted a total of about 30 minutes or so. The third one was interesting because it was the first time I had had an OBE strictly by teleportation rather than by leaving upon vibrations occurring. I wrapped up all 3 OBEs into one as I tell it here since I don't know exactly when I returned and went back out again, but each time I always returned to the same place without a gap in time so it doesn't really make any difference as far as the experience goes. The returns were simply small breaks in the long adventure. One other thing. The first two times that I left I had problems with sight. The method that I describe below to clear it worked both times. I am convinced that this method is extremely reliable since I have used it many times in the past, and given enough time it always works. One thing that was different this time though is that in the past I would focus on patches of fog, but this time my vision was filled with dancing patches of colors and so I focussed on these instead. But all in all it's the same technique. The OBE occurred when I awoke this morning and felt in a strange frame of mind and I knew from experience that I was OBE ripe. Shortly the vibrations started up and I had no trouble at all getting out. I was lying on my right side and I gently rolled out in the same direction. I had no vision at all when I got out but I was immediately drawn away from my body at a reasonably high rate of speed. This went on for quite some time, perhaps several minutes and I felt like I had travels perhaps hundreds or thousands of miles. I began the process of gaining my sight by looking at the various images of colored patches that were in my field of view. I would examine a patch but then it would vanish from view and I'd have to pick another. Eventually though I was able to hold my vision on a patch and hold it in my gaze. The patch started to dissolve and was replaced by flowers that exposed itself to be part of an entire garden of flowers in a huge field on a warm sunny day where lots of people were strolling around. My vision entirely cleared up and the scene that was before me was breathtaking. One of the first things I noticed was a dozen or so ducks sunning themselves. But the unusual thing was the color of their feathers. They were a very deep reddish brown that was unusually pleasing to look at. You could almost taste the color in your mouth it was so rich. Like chocolate. The field I was in was well maintained, like a golf course, and people were socializing around me for as far as I could see. There were beautiful women all around me and the temptation to have some fun with them was too much for me to resist. I went from one woman to the next and they were all more than willing to take it as far as I wanted to. The strange thing is, I couldn't really get very far physically with any of them because I would start losing my lucidity and I'd have to stop to regain it. Still, I can't say I didn't have a thrill! I moved away from the sex situation since it was affecting my lucidity (and my concentration) and also because I was on a different mission. So I began exploring the territory. I found an old castle style ruin somewhere and moved through it by moving through walls and doors. I came to a door which surprised me because it wouldn't let me pass through. This was after I had already gone through dozens of walls and doors, so it wasn't a mental block. When I tried to pass through it, it was simply solid. I got the feeling that what was beyond the door was something that I should not mess with, but my curiosity got the better of me. I opened the door and went inside. It was nearly pitch black and cold and damp, and I wasn't sure if it would be a good idea to continue, but I did anyway. I went down an inclined path for a ways but it was too dark to see anything and I decided to get out of there. Perhaps just in time. I went back to the open field and was amazed at the brilliance of colors everywhere. The sky was blue with just a few wifts of clouds scattered about. It is difficult to look at something like this and not be amazed at the depth and realness of the environment you are in. You can't help but compare it with what you know as reality and wonder where the differences lie. There is simply no way to tell that you are not in a real true world and it's really this kind of experience that makes you realize that either what we know as reality could so easily be an illusion or else what I was experiencing there was just as solid and physical as our waking life. There simply is no difference between the two. I remembered Barts suggestion to try and seek out the light to reach higher levels and I was all for trying this out since it was the perfect opportunity. I felt like I could still be out for awhile since I was feeling very stable. The first thing I went for of course was the sun. It's really a rush to look right into the sun and not worry about burning your eyes out. So I stared at it and started to fly up toward it at the speed of a plane, but after awhile realized, this isn't what Bart meant and returned to the ground. I looked up at the sky for another source of light but came across a large flock of seagulls circling around. I took this as an indicator and reached my arms up and asked for passage to a higher level (seemed appropriate at the time). I began to rise up off the ground and was surprised at how high up these seagulls were. As I got closer I was able to see just how many there were. The sky was literally filled with these seagulls. Thousands of them. I reached their altitude and absorbed myself in the beauty of watching them fly all around me as the sun was reflecting off of their feathers. Soon though I realized that this was not the passage but simply a flock of seagulls. I returned to the ground and continued my search. Off in the distance on the horizon I saw a deep glow, almost like a sunset except the sun was still up in the sky. I suspected this might be the light I was searching for and flew off, low to the ground, in that direction. As I approached the glow it started changing colors. From deep red to bright yellow to orange and so on. It was quite aways off in the distance and took me some bit of traveling before I even noticed I was getting closer to it. As I approached it I was sure this was the light I was suppose to be seeking. But then somewhere along the way I passed over some people sitting at a picnic bench and momentarily stopped down to say hi to them (social me). I chatted with them for a little while. They were quite friendly as were all the people at this huge social affair. My time ran out and I teleported back to my body. Was that the light? Next time I will find out. Oh and there were no letters anywhere so I wasn't able to check out the Sanskrit theory. I'll do that next time too. I think one of the greatest discoveries of our time was the discovery that the very particles that make up our universe merrily dance in and out of existence on a regular basis and that matter has no real lifetime. An electron disappears here and shows up there. It could be the same electron going out of this existence into another, then reappearing back in our universe in a different location or it could be one dying and a new one being born. Either way, the implications are curious. If it's the first, then this is an indication that we are constantly moving through different universes on a regular basis, if it is the second then that means that from moment to moment we are completely destroyed and recreated. Doesn't matter which one you fancy, it all leads to the same conclusion, that what you see is not what you get. I had no foreboding, just an impenetrable door. ...I flew out of the tall medieval-style tower (I guess you could call it castle) and glided downslope between tall trees a few hundred m until I reached a small building in a clearing. It was simple and plain, made of gray stone, and surrounded by a water-filled moat. For some reason I interpreted it as a shrine of some sort. There were a few workmen tending the flowers planted outside the building but they did not seem to notice me when I flew across the moat. I made for the large rough-hewn wooden door, intending to phaze thru it as easily as I had the tower wall before, but I just bounced. I tried to slowly force myself thru, but it wouldnīt yield. Ditto for the walls. I had almost decided to go somewhere else when a small group of people came across the small bridge and went for the door. They also seemed to be oblivious to my existence, so I slunk in behind their backs...
