The 1st thing, is it possible to pull someone out of their body? And if it is, should I avoid pulling people out? The 2nd thing is that I'm looking for an explanation of something that happend to me. I was doing an OOB induction technique and then suddenly I saw a big flash of white light. bye ###### From: spicyjem@aol.comSpicyJem (Spicy Jem) Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: Re: Pulling people OOB Lines: 47 NNTP-Posting-Host: ladder07.news.aol.com X-Admin: news@aol.com Date: 23 May 1999 18:31:36 GMT Organization: AOL http://www.aol.com References: <19990520230018.28131.00002850@ng-fu1.aol.com> Message-ID: <19990523143136.28064.00000261@ng-cc1.aol.com> Path: chonsp.franklin.ch!pfaff.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!news-ge.switch.ch!news-fra1.dfn.de!news-koe1.dfn.de!news.ruhrgebiet.individual.net!newsfeed.ecrc.net!cyclone.news.idirect.com!island.idirect.com!feed1.news.rcn.net!rcn!howland.erols.net!portc02.blue.aol.com!audrey01.news.aol.com!not-for-mail > >I have 2 things in this post. The 1st thing, is it possible to pull someone >out of their body? Yes, it is possible to pull someone else out......we have had a few people in this NG do the same thing. I had someone come to try and pull me out one time, but I had seemed to be uneasy and unsure when they tried, so I never made it out. Although this is a possibility while OBE, it doesn't seem to happen that much. IMO, to have an OBE takes discipline and focus. Merely pulling someone out of their body who hasn't taken the time and effort to do the techniques for themselves and learn how to achieve this state of consciousness is a way of "getting in the backdoor". > And if it is, should I avoid pulling people out? > I would say that you should only try to pull someone out with whom you have permission. Dont ever try to pull someone out who you haven't previously discussed the situation with in detail. You could scare the astral $%^% out of them, and do a lot of damage. Just get out on your own, and I guaruntee that you will have more than enough things to do *without* having to go pull someone else out. >The 2nd thing is that I'm looking for an explanation of something that >happend >to me. I was doing an OOB induction technique and then suddenly I saw a big >flash of white light. That was most likely hypnogogic imagery, something that you start to experience when you are on the body asleep/mind awake state. This state of consciousness is a precursor to haveing an OBE. Once you feel yourself at this state, try to remain as detached as possible. Watch the images almost as if you are watching a TV set. Don't get too involved with them, or you may fall asleep. If you can maintain awareness at this stage and still not fall alseep, you are very close to having an OBE! <3 Jeff Mash <3 To email me, remove the "JokeMail" in the address. Need a laugh? I would add a further comment though. Suppose someone negative wanted you out. If you thought that Jeff was going to pull you out then the negative person could pretend that they are Jeff and get there first. Possibly to your detriment. :-( Regards, John. **************************************************** ,-._|\ John Fitzsimons - Melbourne, Australia. / Oz \ johnf@melbpc.org.au, Fidonet 3:632/309 \_,--.x/ http://www.vicnet.net.au/~johnf/welcome.htm v http://www.alphalink.com.au/~johnf/
