I would like to share this experiences of mine with you and ask if anyone else of you feel this too. This is about a hight pitched noise I can 'hear' or 'sense' in various occasions. I have found out that generating a tone of around 15 kHz (or somewhere in that are, 13 - 17 kHz maybe) and listening to it, it resembles this high pitched noise I hear, so maybe this noise is at around 15 kHz or so. I can hear this noise in many occasions which I will describe. The most easy way to hear it is when everything's really quiet; there's no sound at all, nothing is heard. Don't you 'hear' something? A noise? A hight pitched noise that is the noise of silence? I do! I also hear this noise or something similar when a TV set is on and playing. The sound may be turned down all the way but I can still hear this noise coming from it. When the TV in my living room is on, no matter what room I'm in I can understand it's on because I hear this noise. I do hear it now, my dad's watching TV silently in the living room. I think I can even feel this when I'm outside the front door and unlocking the door, I hear this sound and I know someone inside is watching television. I think this must be something anyone can hear, not just me, am I right? Now, to the most interesting part. I hear this noise when people are around me. It is the same noise the TV is making. When the environment in which I am in is quiet (or at least not too noisy) I can hear such a hight pitched noise coming from people, e.g. my mom, dad, brother etc. If I sit here in my room and someone *walks* in the living room, I can undestand this, because I sense this noise and I sense that the source of the noise is moving, so I sense their movement. No matter how silently they may walk, I will sense them moving even if they're in another room and I have the door closed. So I'm SURE this is not because of the noise they make walking but it's this high pitched noise. Sometimes I also hear this noise when noone's around!!! This is when it really scares me, because I feel like a presenceis making this noise but noone's around. I even feel it moving sometimes! I get really frightened when I hear it and it's coming from my back, like someone's behind me, but noone is there physically! Any thoughts? When I try to go OOB, I normally hear this noise, because I'm in my bedroom and it's late in the night so almost nothing is heard and everything's quiet. But when I really start to feel my body lighter and I feel like I'm beggining to go out, this noise becomes much more intense and more high pitched! Usually this lasts only a few seconds, then I feel isnide my numb nody again and the noise comes back to normal. (More about how I try to go OOB can be found in my post "OOB without vibrations?"). Well these are the occasions and the ways I hear this noise, at least the ones I remember. Any thoughts, comments or insides are highly welcome, especially about the sensin other people part and the part about sensing presences!!! Especially this one! Thank you all for reading this post and I really hope I'll hear your comments about this. Feel free to ask me more details about this noise! I can also make a wav or mp3 file with a few seconds of this noise and send it to anyone who may be interested (I'll not post it in the NG, don't worry ;-) ) Thanks in advance Panayiotis ###### From: "Ol' Bab" Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: Re: Hight pitched noise - Sensing other people Date: Sat, 27 Mar 1999 10:08:16 -0500 Organization: Posted via RemarQ Communities, Inc. Yes TVs make a high-pitched whine at that frequency. Some sets are loud enough to annoy people with young ears. (The ability to hear high frequencies decreases with age. I sure can't hear that whine anymore!) Tinnitus: a percieved (not real) sound reported to your brain due to a defect or whatever in the hearing nerves. I've had this since I was quite young. It's fairly common, and also gets more common with age, and with exposure to loud noise/music. I don't suggest that this is what's going on with you -you obviously have a gift- but a touch of tinnitus can be making it a little harder for you to "tune in" to your gift. I also hear this noise or something similar when a TV set is on and
playing.

Try the computer.  I concentrated on it and got a lower frequency lower pitched noise.  I also got the high pitched one.

When the environment
in which I am in is quiet (or at least not too noisy) I can hear such
a hight pitched noise coming from people, e.g. my mom, dad, brother
etc. If I sit here in my room and someone *walks* in the living room,
I can undestand this, because I sense this noise and I sense that the
source of the noise is moving, so I sense their movement. No matter
how silently they may walk, I will sense them moving even if they're
in another room and I have the door closed. So I'm SURE this is not
because of the noise they make walking but it's this high pitched
noise.

I can't 'hear' them, but I can 'sense' them.  If I concentrate on them enough I can see the 'ripple' effect that they have on the world.  Sort of like the affect that you get when you see someone walks in water but in a grey black haze.  I am also beginning to 'see' entities.  Like a faint shadow.   Weird at night.  Freaks you out.  Can also hear them talking but muffled.
When I try to go OOB, I normally hear this noise, because I'm in my

everything's quiet. But when I really start to feel my body lighter

People do have a kind of vibrational sound to them. Some are really quiet though and it bugs me when I can't read them unless I am standing very close. But there is another factor to consider in all of this which involves your particular brain make-up. The reason I talk about this is because I have a brother with schizophrenia, and one of the things he had to deal with is very acute hearing. I think he tuned into this partly because of the changes going on in his brain, but also as a protective measure because of his paranoia. Not only could he hear things other people could not hear, but he got really sensitive to loud noise and had to adjust his environment so he was not exposed to it. I am not exactly suggesting that you go get a CAT scan, (do you even have a cat? *smile*) but you might have had some change in your brain maybe from drug use, or another organic cause that has heightened your hearing. > > >Sometimes I also hear this noise when noone's around!!! Currently I don't have a problem with loud noise. When I like the music I hear I turn it up too loud. Hmmm... I don't think so. I can't think of a reason to cause such a change in my brain. Taking pain killers? I think most people do this. I don't smoke and I never took drugs, I live an ordinary life, so what could cause this change? And why should there be a change in my mind for me to able to hear or sense people? Couldn't it be explained in another way? Something to deal with the vibrations or the astral? It may be possible for organic causes to have caused changes in my brain, but I think that hearing the noise of silenece is ordinary for most people. What really interests me is that I can sense other people in this way! I can sense them especially when they're moving around. I don't think this has to do with schizoprhenia or something. Till now I only have had the desire to go out of body or meet my Spirit Guides (in an OBE or dream) but not to deal with spirits this way! These things always scared me. Atleast if I manage to go OOB or meet my guides, then I'd feel more familiar with all this and maybe I'd try to deal with them then, but tillnow I never had a first-hand experience with spirits or the astral. Well in any case, I don't think it's bad to leave things as they are. We just finished a chapter about sound in my science class at school. Sometimes when I am relaxing/meditating, I became more aware of this high-pitched sound and sometimes when I do, it gets very loud. I ask this in return, at the times when the "sound" or "feelings" are at their greatest height, do you see anything as well. I have found that as the sound grows, so too does the visual stimuli. I find it easier to sense or "see" a persons Aura as well. Possibly you might see this was well. Just a thought. That seems to be the right frequency. The scientific version is: these are the effect of random firing of nerves in the hearing system, Can be increased by electromagnetical influence on the nerves or by damaged audio sensing nerves (by large noise, particularly regular repeated loudness). The parapsychic version is: you are recieving (but not (yet?) making any use of) information coming from the astral world. In both cases this can be regarded as the audio counterpart to the pattens of little weak flashes one can see when looking at an one-couloured (and preferable darker) background. This noise can become loud enough to be detrimental to living, in which case the medical name for this state is calles tinitus. It is regarded as non-healable by current medical science. > The most easy way to hear it is when everything's really quiet; > there's no sound at all, nothing is heard. Don't you 'hear' something? > A noise? A hight pitched noise that is the noise of silence? I do! Because there is then no other strong signal to override it. I can heat it when quiet, I can see the video counterpart even in normal daylight. Both also stronger if I concentrate on them. > I also hear this noise or something similar when a TV set is on and > playing. The sound may be turned down all the way but I can still hear > this noise coming from it. Same sounding, but total different cause. TVs (at least onlder ones and todays cheaper ones) emit an measurable sound in the 15.5-16.5kHz range. This is the joke coil that emits the magnetic field that drives the electron beam backwards and forwards over the screen. The force pulling the electrons of track (straight line to middle of screen) also pull the joke in direction of the electrons. This makes the joke vibrate at said frequency, als making the tube vidbrate and emit the sound into the surroundings. > Now, to the most interesting part.
