Its true, i had a weird flying sensation, like i was hovering over the ground, sometimes when i walked down the hall. When there was no-one there, and when i saw someone, then i just went back to normal. Can anyone explain this? weird huh? 2) This ones weird as well. When i was young, and ill (both of these happened when i was a bout 2/3/4) i looked at a poster i had and it changed before my eyes. When i looked at it, there were these massive grey, spikes i suppose you could call them. Well there were big gaps between them, and they were moving, and on one side was my dad, and on the other side me, and we had to keep on them, not falling off them to our deaths. I remeber it so well, but its so hard to describe to you! WEll this was all in a poster. Except you couldn't see the poster, you could only see the image i described. And, well, it was like i was really there. I think i had a dream of this before that, and there it was befor emy eyes. I remeber saying " I don't like it! I don't like it" you se, as a 3 year old, i was scared out of my wits! So could this be: A) Hallucinations because of my being ill B) A sort of OOB C) Hynagogic images PLEASE REPLY!!! love, light, lucidity Blessed be Madeline ###### From: "Madeline" Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: RE: Remebering........ weird, please reply Date: Sat, 27 Mar 1999 14:14:01 -0000 Organization: UUNET WorldCom server (post doesn't reflect views of UUNET WorldCom) Lines: 13 Message-ID: <7dip0v$290$1@plug.news.pipex.net> NNTP-Posting-Host: userl515.uk.uudial.com X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 4.72.2106.4 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V4.72.2106.4 Path: chonsp.franklin.ch!pfaff.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!news-ge.switch.ch!news.belnet.be!newsgate.cistron.nl!het.net!news-feed.inet.tele.dk!bofh.vszbr.cz!eyre.news.pipex.net!pipex!bore.news.pipex.net!pipex!not-for-mail Julia! I'm glad to see i wasn't the only person who could fly. I don't see how it could happen, because it is defying the laws of gravity, but it happened. I never gave lessons, lol, can u teach me again? I agree it would be nice to have it back. i wonder how Could this be connected with oobs? maybe your opinion!? love and light Madeline ###### From: johnf@melbpc.org.au (John Fitzsimons) Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: Re: remembering... weird! Your post reminded me that when I was about 4 I would jump downstairs to watch television through the glass door into the living room, when I was supposed to be in bed. To prevent the loud 'bump' of lnding on the hard floor at the bottom, I flew. It seemed quite straightforward. I taught my sister to do it, and we had great fun flying. I used to hold flying lessons at school, when I was about 6, showing all the kids how to jump off a low wall and hover in space. We just grew out of it: I suppose we were told that children can't fly. I read that the great Russian ballet dancer Nijinsky was famed for his 'Grand Jetes' in which he seemed suspended in the air for a few moments at the high point of his jump. Film of his jumps showed the same thing happening, but no-one could explain how he did it. Flying would be a useful skill to relearn! >2) This ones weird as well. We could hear the serpent slithering and its scales rattling and shushing as it came nearer the bedroom door. We created it from our own childish fear, and it was every bit as real as the hairy thing which lived under the loose tile under the bed. Thoughtforms can become very real indeed if you allow yourself to become afraid of them. Childhood fears are real. Anyway, it's gone now, hush, I chased it away, and I will not let it come back again, so you can snuggle down and go to sleep all safe and cosy. Goodnight. Sweet dreams. All best wishes, Julia HM.
