May or may not be related to this NG. The day after we meet went to the beach with her son. We were all laying there, playing with her son in the sand, when i looked into her eyes and found that we were in projected into a black void, warm and peaceful, all surrounding sounds and sights had fallen away. I called out are you there, she answered "yes", i ask "do you feel this" she answered "yes, but I dont like the feeling". Contact was broken and we returned to where we were before. Her son was still playing. She hasn't been able to look that deeply in to my eyes again because she can not discern if this was good or evil. Some serious reponses would be appreciated. ###### From: "Star Gazer" Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: Re: Question Date: Fri, 19 Mar 1999 10:23:02 +1000 Organization: Customer of Connect.com.au Pty. I envy your gift, use it wisely a star gazer also remember, just like the last time, if you don't like what's happening you can leave at any time, feel safe and you will be. This reminds me of something I read a long time ago. I think the following was written by a guy named Koda. ____________ "It is mid-day and the restaurant is crowded, which makes Gerald a bit self-conscious as we stare at each other doing what was then only a telepathy exercise. I am watching the visual distortions shift through stronger and stronger levels of intensity. Gerald and I have done this exercise several times before and he is rather good at it, capable of silencing his mind and focusing intently upon the present moment without judgement. The visual distortions are becoming so intense I can't recognize anything, then suddenly the restaurant is gone. For a brief moment all I can see are a pair of eyes "projected" it seems upon a screen of utter blackness, then the blackness dissolves like tiny bubbles bursting on the surface of a pond, revealing the perfectly clear image of an entirely different environment!" _______________ I know this does not help you, but I thought it might be interesting to know that something similar has happened to someone else. What causes this, I don't know. Koda went on to explain the experience he had in this state. Both him and his friend experienced exactly the same thing from the same point of view. So maybe when you link completely with another persons mind, all the outside world disappears. I am but a theorist, hopefully someone here can provide you with a more solid idea. I have tried to stare at myself in the mirror because I heard by unfocusing your mind looking directly at yourself you can catch a glimpse of yourself as you looked in past lives. I experienced some strange distortion and my face did appear to change shape and become unrecognisable for a moment, but I could not hold the state. I tried staring intently at my girlfriend's face one day, while she was doing the same to see what would happen...and I got this same pair of eyes projected onto a screen of blackness that was written by that guy! very strange it was. I just freaked out and took my focus away. Then I was just laughing my head off, with my girlfriend saying "what?!! what?!!" I dont know what it means exactly or how it works, I can only assume by focusing on one visual thing with a silenced mind, lets your third eye chakra take over your perception. This was a natural ability I take it? I have tried to gain telepathy, but my only success seems to be when I don't try. There is a guy that sits beside me in my electronics course, I am about to say something and he will beat me to it, and he will say word for word what I was about to say. You see, I stutter a little bit, once I get out the first word I can finish the sentence no problem, but getting out that first word can sometimes take a couple of seconds.
