After reading a nasty flame of a recent post of mine by a nasty little man called Paul G (the words "and all your other loony posts" ring in my mind) I looked at his post and said "Die.". Rather strong for me, but what do you know? I closed down Free Agent to check my email, then brought the Newsgroup up again and hurray! All his posts, including that one, had vanished from the screen! No-one else's. I closed down and called it up again twice, just to check, and it is still so. I didn't realise that the Killfile mechanism was so directly linked to the computer operator rather than the machine! Or do I have a Guardian sysop out there? This puts censorship in a whole different league... Thanks! All best wishes to the rest of you, Julia. ###### From: "Mike Ross" Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: Re: Computers obey! I wonder if there is any way we might alter the structure of our computers to make them highly sensitive to thought. Perhaps by using a mechanism like a chip which transmits and receives impulses of a higher frequency than electricity. I am fascinated how will can cause such immediate reactions on a lower vibration! kind regards Rohan Ford ###### Path: chonsp.franklin.ch!usenet From: Neil Franklin Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: Re: Computers obey! The first documented use of the Magic(TM) user interface. You have just solved the problem of user Input/Output on small (portable) computers - just use magic. > hurray! It definitely beats the crashes you usually get (and knowing how literal magic can be could have easily got this time). > I didn't realise that the Killfile mechanism was so directly > linked to the computer operator rather than the machine!
