I've had it up before, but the format is all screwed up.. the link buttons all appear at the top of the page, instead of with their respective link descriptions.. I used FrontPage 98, and it was fine in there, until I published it. Let me know whatcha think. All the best... Oh yeah, the site addy would help =) http://members.xoom.com/astralgen Thanks. =) -- Joseph A. "publishing" unfortunately does not only copy the stuff to your web server but actually reformats it. Many a victim of this has screamed on his way to hell. > Let me know whatcha think. FP is a brain dead program. Typical MicroShit. Get an better one. The November issue of an good magazine I read (c't) recommended for people who _need_ WYSIWIG editing to use CyberStudio or Dreamweaver. But they recommend to first try hand written HTML. It is not that difficult. And it does what you want it to do, better than _all_ editors. I second that one. My entire site is handwritten. Its simple but effective and it appears fast on all browsers. And allways works. -- Neil Franklin, Nerd, Geek, Unix Guru, Hacker, Mystic neil@franklin.ch.remove http://neil.franklin.ch/ Programming: when you stop hammering around on the computer as if it were a piece of dumb matter and instead tell it what to do for you ###### From: silkdick@aol.com (Silk Dick) Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: Re: Hey Dick Silk =) Me gots a problem. Right now, it seems to get the job done, and once a website has a basic format, it is great for making changes/updates. I would love to have the skill to be able to handwrite my own HTML....and even though I now can do this to some extent. I don't yet possess the skills as you and DickSilk obviously have. Just my two cents worth..... >FP is a brain dead program. Typical MicroShit. I can build a PC from the electric cord up, anyway you want it, or tear yours down and use the best parts to build you another, better unit. If your system goes kafooey, I can usually (99.9% of the time) diagnose the problem and get you back up and running. Also, I can sell you a new system for $1000.oo, set it up in your home, and give you a demo, IF you live in Middle Tennessee. My entire HTML knowledge comes from: a) reading one book on HTML 2.1 about 2 years ago for the basics (HTML: The Definitive Guide, Chuck Musciano, O'Reilly & Associates) b) looking at other peoples pages with browsers "show page source" menu c) taking time to find my personal style (mainly just a bit of font handling and a few structuring lines) Thats it. -- Neil Franklin, Nerd, Geek, Unix Guru, Hacker, Mystic neil@franklin.ch.remove http://neil.franklin.ch/ Programming: when you stop hammering around on the computer as if it were a piece of dumb matter and instead tell it what to do for you
