I was in bed last night, (duh) and I had two curious thing happening to me.) first, the second and less confusing one: I dreamed I had my first OBE. youpee! I could fly, and have fun. problem, it WAS a dream... a dream of flight. but it was very fun! anyway. I knew it wasn't an OBE when I woke up. it was a false awakening/OBE almost lucid dream. secondly: before all that. I was sleeping. then I woke up, (my eyes were still closed.) I was aware of my position in bed, the sheets over me, and my position: on my left side. I was awake, (like when you wake up in the night, but keep your eyes closed to get back into sleep. but then, an odd thing happened! something jumped at my side. here's a little map: ---=======--- ok # = my couch in Bed-Mode | ######### | 0 | #| Ox|# | /|\ = ME! | | /|\| | / \ / |__/_\| | x = the place of the jump. /___________| = = the window. so it was like if a small animal jumped in front of me, in my bed from the top of my couch, comming from the window. I felt the matress sink under its weight. it then made a sound. like a cate being cute making a highly pitched "rrrrrr?" (the "?" is for the intonation) you probably hear that once from a cat. (no not the clasiccal "Purrrrr!") So then it rubbed his nose against mine (cats often do that) I felt the humitidy of the nose + the furr on my face! he did his cute little "rrrrr?" again, and then, I opened my eyes because, NOW i was curious. but while all this happened, I asked myself "what the hell is that! I don't have a cat!, I feel the matress sinking, so its real!" "I don't have a cat!" then, when I opened my eyes, it wasn't there anymore.. nothing. I got straight up in my bed, confused. It couldn't have been a dream! I noticed no change of countiousness from the moment to the awaken state I was in now. (the only difference was that my eyes were now open) so I didn't know what to think. it seemed like the cat I had this summer who got hit by a car, and died. but it couldn't be... and no, my windows was shut, and no cats was in the house! What the hell happened!!!??!?!!?!!??!?!?!?!??!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Yep, you run into these sort of things now and then. Could have been your deceased cat - could have been someone else's - could have been hypnogogic imagery. Probably similar to the 'old hag' phenomenon, but not as fearful. If you keep with this stuff, you'll probably get more visitors over the years. Bart
