Here's what seems to be working: 1) Go to sleep for a while, and spend time thinking about your desire to have an OBE as you go to sleep. 2) Wake up after a few hours (the time length can vary from person to person), and then go read about OBE's or similar for a while (30-90 minutes but basically til you don't feel too groggy anymore). 3) Once you've got the mindset and you are somewhat awake, you then go about trying to have an OBE using whatever technique you prefer. The SUNEYE method suggests focussing on the third eye, but the exact technique seems somewhat unimportant. As long as you have a desire and something that works reasonably well for you, it should be fine. At this point you will either likely experience anything from vivid dreams or lucid dreams, to a full blown OOBE. So far for me this technique has worked pretty well and I seem to be progressing from having more dream like states to last night where I think I was getting close to seperation. Comments or thoughts? By the way, has anybody tried the SUNEYE method or a variation and NOT had some success? -----------== Posted via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==---------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Discuss, or Start Your Own ###### From: chester basshead Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: Re: Variations on the SUNEYE method Date: Fri, 04 Dec 1998 17:24:42 -0800 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit References: <3667D7EF.3F10C6CB@visi.net> <749qeu$2oc$1@nnrp1.dejanews.com> X-Posted-Path-Was: not-for-mail Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii X-ELN-Date: 5 Dec 1998 01:19:05 GMT X-ELN-Insert-Date: Fri Dec 4 17:25:06 1998 Organization: EarthLink Network, Inc. It does say that you might experience astral projections and lucid dreams without it, but you will soon realize when time passes by, the clarity of your experiences will fade, and eventually, your ability to have astral projections and lucid dreams will diminish. It have happened to me so I would know. Like I said many times before, this technique came from the Buddhist monks and Yogis. They mention in their text that the Thirdeye Focusing Technique gives powers of lucid dreams and astral projections. In the end, it will be you who decides. I did my job sharing the method. When you see that your ability to have lucid dreams and astral projections have diminish, then you will understand.
