I have had a few experiences that SEEMED scary at the time. Like the time I saw a ghost and I thought it was going to attack me and I said "boo" trying to scare it away. The ghost laughed at me and he did not harm me, nor do I think he could have harmed me. I think the biggest abstacle in OBE is fear. Have a good trip, Black Raven. ###### From: "Bart" Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: Re: Regarding Scary Stuff on this channel Date: Tue, 1 Dec 1998 00:18:28 -0500 Organization: ICGNetcom Lines: 22 Message-ID: <73vuff$i50@dfw-ixnews4.ix.netcom.com> References: <1936964748.912470031@SHEEBA.RES.CMU.EDU> NNTP-Posting-Host: clv-oh40-47.ix.netcom.com X-NETCOM-Date: Mon Nov 30 11:22:55 PM CST 1998 X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 4.72.3110.1 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V4.72.3110.3 Path: chonsp.franklin.ch!pfaff.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!newsfeed-zh.ip-plus.net!news-nyc.telia.net!howland.erols.net!ix.netcom.com!news Eric S. Yes, fear is a major problem - then, after fear, comes respect. Both fear and respect carry the same weight. Much later (like years) I had experiences with this same entity and realized that although I still was a bit uneasy feeling around "him" it was not fear, and I could remember how I felt before. It was more of the feeling you get when you know you are in the company of someone of more authority than yourself. . . There is "fear" in a number of things involving new situations. Take, for instance, a new job. The new boss is often very intimidating. There is always some new authority to greet us in every new situation. Some people can handle the authority, but some take immediate offense at authority. For me, if the "authority" doesn't meet my personal qualifications to be my boss, then I view that individual as being severely negative - regardless of their personal stand. I project my own image of good or evil on to the authority placed before me - and I usually put the label of "evil" on to something I will not accept. Very good point, Richard. I've learned something. Thanks. Bart
