I have since rejected the idea of heaven and all that. While hell might be a usefull thing in terms of karma at least, i've heard even that doesnt exist, and its probably true too. So... Where does a spirit go after death? I read from a text somewhere some guy who OBE'd saw a hospital for old aged people who'd died, and where being rehabilitated for the spiritual world. Of course this isnt some grand hospital thing, much like a person helps you out in this world, it might do you a lot of good. But he's not god or something. Anyway. Does anyone have more information on after death and stuff? also OBEing (at least the ones commonly described, not its literal meaning) is not that same as being in this physical world, but flying about and seeing things here. I think thats clairvoyance. OBEing is another separate reality. (with different laws of physics too) So, in that sense ghosts wouldnt be there, but in the physical, or something else. Where would ghosts (the ones that interact with the physical world, sounds, sight etc) be. A variaty of possibilities I would assume. I know the OBE world interacts with the physical alot, it even tends to mirror it often, but in a changed and altererd way. perhaps thats often how it interacts, because it mirrors this world alot. But i do have the feeling that ghosts often may not be in that world. Is this true? Read also books on near death experiences. Read books on channeling, especially ones that talk about where the souls went after-death. There are also some books about past life therapy which also hints at that after-life. I found that all these together with my experiences in oobe that lead me to the conclusions that there are many places after-death. Depend on your beliefs. You and others create those realities to ease you into the after-life reality...which is more of a whole-life reality...your true home. I actually happen to oobe to one of the hospital like setting that was described by Monroe, to me, it look more like a park with lots of mini malls, outdoor types, and very tranquil. That was the feeling I got of the place. Oh, and the movie What Dreams May Come have a very real depiction of the after-death transition. You might want to check that out also. lucid. Bear in mind that I've spent my life living without belief. There are two pathways for the soul. The first one is the one that most people take is to live like a human and die like a human animal. There is a soul there and it's essence becomes energy that feeds the Moon so that the child of the Earth can maintain it's consciousness. There is a second path. We transcend animal by using awareness. We work on an "I" that is involved in a study called know thyself. At a point in the study we become free to know a being on a higher realm. It saves us. When we experience the death of the physical body we go back to being it. We remember us. We live forever. Please note I am not dictating something I have been taught, It is something I have experienced. Ever saw "What dream may come"? let just say I try to get the maximum out of a movie when I go to the cinema... :Q I found that movie so brilliant and cool. It reflected what I though about life & death. When you die, you get access to "dimention travel" where there are unlimited dimentions, and you take one for you, shape it to what you wish (your paradise) and you can still come back on earth to see wahts going on, see some loved ones... I don't think suicide will do what it does in the movies, but more like if you had a good life, you find yourself in a heaven created by you. it you're life was a nightmare (specially at the time of death) you will create a hell from your mind where the worst is always happening. (kinda like bad-tripping) if you think about tourments, they will happend. if you try to think about something cool, it will happens. if you had such a bad life, and can't figure out a happy moment to get out of the bad-trip, you will "be in hell" anyway. hope ya understand. its not clear, but I don't want to write a novel as I usually always do (I tend to write too much... just watch this phrase... oh! and Im doing it again... and again... damnit!) And he said he saw some passed away geriatrics being rehabilitated after having died. i would count that as pure unspeculated experience. Thanks for trying tho :) and also I have something very strongly against movies, TV, acting, theatre and the rest. I view it as a lie really. I dont mind manga tho, at least that doesnt involve people pretending to be something they are not. ###### Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body From: Pyle S E A Subject: Re: After death and heaven, ghosts and all that Sender: news@news.uwindsor.ca (Usenet) Message-ID: In-Reply-To: Date: Mon, 9 Nov 1998 17:44:08 GMT X-Nntp-Posting-Host: server.uwindsor.ca Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII References: Mime-Version: 1.0 Organization: University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada Lines: 36 Path: chonsp.franklin.ch!pfaff.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!news.belnet.be!194.165.93.117.MISMATCH!newshub.bart.net!newsfeed.wirehub.nl!btnet-peer!btnet!newsfeed.cwix.com!206.221.240.3!beaker.tor.sfl.net!news!server.uwindsor.ca!pyle Maybe you would like to read "Many Lives, Many Masters" By a Dr. Weiss. Some movies sucks! but some are great, reflecting the vision of a person, (imagine if socrate did a movie instead of writing and telling all this stuff... the movie would be cool, and maybe even a bether way to explain is point of view.) Does anyone have more information > on after death and stuff? I heard a really interesting explanation in a book that I've been reading recently (if anybody wants to know the author, etc, just ask). Anyhow, he explains that the Universe is made up of many different dimensions and that each of these dimensions are at different energy levels. The energy in these dimensions can be molded by the conciousness of the people in that dimension. His suggestion was that when people die, people go where they believe they should go. Christians will go to a place that looks like what christians think Heaven is supposed to look like. All of these spirits there shape that dimension with their thoughts to fit what they expect to find after death. The thing with this is, is that we each have a choice where we want to go. We can follow a traditional belief system and go to its heaven, or equivalent. If we know something about how the Universe operates ahead of time (i.e exploring through OBE, etc), we will know that there is more to it than that and we can explore all of the other realms. -----------== Posted via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==---------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Discuss, or Start Your Own ###### From: hawksmoor@dial.pipex.com (Julia Hawkes-Moore) Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: Re: After death and heaven, ghosts and all that Date: Tue, 10 Nov 1998 18:56:33 GMT Organization: UUNET WorldCom server (post doesn't reflect views of UUNET WorldCom) Lines: 38 Message-ID: <36488902.3503775@news.dial.pipex.com> References: <3646B96C.20AD2CC1@hotmail.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: aa130.du.pipex.com X-Newsreader: Forte Free Agent 1.1/16.230 Path: chonsp.franklin.ch!pfaff.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!news-ge.switch.ch!news.maxwell.syr.edu!newsfeed.cwix.com!158.43.192.17!rill.news.pipex.net!pipex!bore.news.pipex.net!pipex!not-for-mail On 09 Nov 1998 01:55:32 PST, Lucid wrote: >afterlife-knowledge.com is a good place to start. Excellent reply, Lucid. I was just composing my reply when yours flashed up on the screen. You said it all! More concisely than me, too. I went to the same 'hospital' recently. Cool, light, airy, serene. I met a dear friend, recently dead, and took a message from her for her daughters. She had been resting, and after giving me the message, she moved away, through the open french windows, 'passing on'. Her daughters understood and cherished the message. I see ghosts - see one, see 'em all. Some are oblivious of me, just trapped into earthbound routines. Others are 'called up' by my awareness, of which I am wary. Spirits of the dead can manifest in many ways. Almost as many as the spirits of the living, really, and entirely dependent upon their personalities and life-experiences! My mother wants to rest in black nothingness, not to 'hang about waiting' as she calls it, after she dies. But I can foresee so many possibilities for learning new skills that I will be keen to 'move on'. Black nothingness has no appeal for me. Hell? I'm looking forward to being a ghost, or a reincarnated spirit, or whatever I turn out to be. I love the earth and the people in it, so I'm not ready yet to pass on to permanently ethereal realms. Maybe I'll be a guardian spirit for an as yet unborn child. Busy busy busy. All best wishes, Julia Hawkes-Moore. ###### From: "Richard" Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: Re: After death and heaven, ghosts and all that Date: Tue, 10 Nov 1998 11:59:54 -0800 Organization: Posted via Supernews, http://www.supernews.com - Discussions start here!
