I couldn't see anything. I didn't go far, i just hovered over my body, panicked and went back in. Are you able to see in the dark when you are out? Was my being unable to see because it was my first time, or because i was so close to my body? I want to project again but not if i can't see anything, and relaxing in the daytime is very hard to do. Granted, this doesnt apply to everyone, but I have heard this many times. In fact, I have been out twice and I have yet to "see" in the astral plane either. I think it's just a matter of willing ourselves to see, and then getting used to it. After all, most of us have gone our whole lives never having to conduct ourselves in the astral world, so it may take a little time and practice to get used to. Also, there are other ways to see than astrally. Some people can see with their mind while out of body, so it all depends. I wish you the best of luck the next time your out! ********** <3 Jeff Mash <3 spicyjem@aol.com Need a laugh? When you are OOB, you are not 'seeing' as you do when you use your real eyes, but you will tend to try and 'look' with eyes when you are out for a while. You just need time to adjust to this new environment that you are unfamiliar with. In time you will be able to see, but if for some reason you can't, it wont be because it is dark, it will be because of another fear of physical hang-up that you will need to get over. :-) Surprisingly, all my OBE's have appeared to have been in either day light (during the night) or I have been able to just see in the dark easily. Occasionally I will get myself into an area sometimes referred to 'the grey area' in this NG. I have yet to find a way out of this, but I haven't been there since I was stuck there last time. And almost always, there seems to be a faint mist or fog in my OBE's (?) So, if you remember that you aren't seeing with your physical eyes while you are out, that if you want to see, you only need to think about being able to have more clarity (don't think about your eyes the first few times, try saying 'Clarity now' Shout it out if you have to, will yourself to see if you can't) Hope this has helped a little. I walked out of the bed room into the kitchen, then back to my room. As soon as I saw myself in bed I went back into my body I did have a problem trying to wake up. I am some what familiar on how to reproduce this OOB. So now I try my best to avoid letting it happen again. Capt. Duncel (ret.)
