A great idea. :-) There may be a little problem though. I was just thinking that most of us are interpreting what we see and hear into 'physical' words, which, through interpretation, may become different between individuals. What I mean is, what I see and what you see may be the same thing, but we interpret what we see differently when we express how we see it. Know what I mean? But, I guess, being able to actually do visuals would be a great step in a more standard direction of interpretation. Such a good idea Bart. :-) Now, to go and see if I can make a wav file of the buzzing I hear sometimes. :-) I bet I can't do it!! ;-) All the best Craig -- The sure way to make a thing impossible- -is to think it so. --- Franklin To respond, delete _nospam_ scrappy@_nospam_netconnect.com.au -- ###### From: "Bart" Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: Re: My very first attempt at OBE animation Date: Sat, 3 Oct 1998 22:24:08 -0400 Organization: ICGNetcom Lines: 59 Message-ID: <6v6met$2ua@sjx-ixn5.ix.netcom.com> References: <6v4d8b$hr3@sjx-ixn3.ix.netcom.com> <3616B36B.B2E43D86@the.end.of.the.message> NNTP-Posting-Host: clv-oh38-14.ix.netcom.com X-NETCOM-Date: Sat Oct 03 7:27:41 PM PDT 1998 X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 4.72.3110.1 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V4.72.3110.3 Path: chonsp.franklin.ch!pfaff.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!news.belnet.be!news-raspail.gip.net!news-dc.gip.net!news-peer.gip.net!news.gsl.net!gip.net!ix.netcom.com!news Craig wrote in message <3616B36B.B2E43D86@the.end.of.the.message>... >Hi Bart. > >Seems like you and your new 'puter are getting along just fine. :-) But it is coming between me and my job... Most times I have just "happened" upon a source of light and recognized it as a portal. However, on a few occasions, I have managed to produce a source with concentration on a bright spot within an existing trip. Every once in a a while I can produce a source by simply focusing. >What program did you use to make the gif Bart? My purpose for doing this is to get over the confusion of words. So often an experience will be completely different from someone else's experience - but carry the same descriptive words. With images, we can avoid that confusion. If so that is most likely why your post got killed on the way. There exist quite a few News servers these days out there that kill any post containing pictures if it is not aimed at an alt.pictures.* or alt.binaries.* NG. If you want us to see the fruits of your work if would be better to put them on an Web site (frodpods, Wrens, Beths?) and then just post an introductionary text with the URL. Else you will be working for a small minority of us. -- *** New home Addresses Mail and Web *** home: neil@franklin.ch.remove http://neil.franklin.ch/ work: franklin@arch.ethz.ch.remove http://caad.arch.ethz.ch/~franklin/ Microsoft is Software Communism, Fight for GNU Freedom! ###### From: "Bart" Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: Re: My very first attempt at OBE animation Date: Sun, 4 Oct 1998 19:27:02 -0400 Organization: ICGNetcom Lines: 26 Message-ID: <6v90ev$rsr@sjx-ixn5.ix.netcom.com> References: <6v4d8b$hr3@sjx-ixn3.ix.netcom.com> <3616B36B.B2E43D86@the.end.of.the.message> NNTP-Posting-Host: clv-oh40-10.ix.netcom.com X-NETCOM-Date: Sun Oct 04 4:30:39 PM PDT 1998 X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 4.72.3110.1 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V4.72.3110.3 Path: chonsp.franklin.ch!pfaff.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!news.belnet.be!news-raspail.gip.net!news-peer.gip.net!news.gsl.net!gip.net!ix.netcom.com!news Neil Franklin wrote in message ... >Bart: I did not get the original, so I am responding to Craigs post. > >I assume from above that you sent the animated GIF to the NG. The GIF isn't really worth putting up on a web site. I'm not really *proud* of it... Funny, though... Do you get all of Koo's posts through your server? It is the format of data, not content, that these evaluate. OTOH I do not know whether Koos gets killed on the server for other reasons, as I have killfiled him long ago, so even if they are there my downloader will not fetch them. -- *** New home Addresses Mail and Web *** home: neil@franklin.ch.remove http://neil.franklin.ch/ work: franklin@arch.ethz.ch.remove http://caad.arch.ethz.ch/~franklin/ Microsoft is Software Communism, Fight for GNU Freedom!
