If you feel that this post does not belong in the news group, please email me. Otherwise, share with others who may want to know. I have been trying telepathy (amongst other things) for a few months now but have not had any success. There does seem to be a rise in the number of times when one of my friends and I think of the same thing at the same time. But this is still rare and I am not even trying when it happens, which leads me to believe that it is a coincidence. I would very much like to hear how you go about hearing others thoughts and sending yours to them. I have herd that you must silence your mind and at the same time think of the person whose thoughts you wish to read. Is there more to it? or is the person who told me this pulling my leg. If I silence my mind (which I find hard to do) I get nothing but silence, then of course I start thinking "good I'm silent, well at least I was, I'll stop now, am I silent yet, no, then shut up, ok........ that's better, damn" So maybe when I do finally get silence, I block out others thoughts too. This skill would be useful, and life saving in some situations, so if you have a method you would like to share, it would be much appreciated. P.S. I also want to be able to do this because I believe it would put me in the right state of mind to have an OOBE (don't ask me why I think this). No, that is just about it. There are techniques with crystals such as holding a quartz double-terminated crystal pointed to your third eye and touching it to another's crystal held in the same way, the projector sending an image and the receiver reporting it. As you get more proficient, you can move further apart. The crystals will gradually attune and can be used to send messages when the people are far apart. Some crystals can record messages, too, for later 'collection'. Buy a good crystal book and practise. But I suspect that crystals only magnify psychic tendencies already there, so just keep practising and stay aware. > >If I silence my mind (which I find hard to do) I get nothing but silence, >then of course I start thinking "good I'm silent, well at least I was, I'll >stop now, am I silent yet, no, then shut up, ok........ that's better, >damn" So maybe when I do finally get silence, I block out others thoughts >too. No, you just have to keep practising. Meditation really does get easier after a while. The more frequently you practise, especially in a group with other people, the better you get, just like, say, learning to play the violin. You will learn to play their tunes and rhythms and they will learn yours until you are all making beautiful wild music together, transcending space and time. > >This skill would be useful, and life saving in some situations, so if you >have a method you would like to share, it would be much appreciated. >>P.S. For instance, someone came up to me one day and said "I've got 6 words to say to you..." As soon as he finished, both my friend and I started counting our fingers to see if he had said the right number of words. We did this at exactly the same time, but it was a coincidence because it is human nature to react to that situation in that way. I'm sure some of you out there would have counted how many words he said too. This was not telepathy, just our curious nature. Well, that's my opinion anyway. > Buy a good crystal book and practise. But I suspect that > crystals only magnify psychic tendencies already there, so just keep > practising and stay aware. I hope it can be done without crystals, I have nothing against using crystals, but I would prefer to do it without outside help. I feel the same way about going OOB I will do it by myself, I don't intend to take drugs to help me. > Was your lone wolf the one we saw in the Saffron Walden Maze last > Full Moon trip? I wish I could say it was, but as far as I know, I have never been OOB before. Unless of course I get out but have no memories of it, but I doubt that. But this is still rare and I am not even trying when it happens, >which leads me to believe that it is a coincidence. There are several kinds of so-called "telepathy". One form is syncronicity; another is portentiousness; yet another is synesthesia; and... finally (and I hope not the last) is good 'ol fasioned hit-the-target telepathy. Syncronicity of two people together is just exchanging waves and energy forms that cross thru the spirit-body. The feeling of being in-synch with someone... of one mind, etc.. Portentiousness is when telepathy is happening right now... but you're not sure if its coincidence or not. The experience here is allot like 'not caring' either way.... Synesthesia is the cross-over of the senses, when duality dissolves and two beings become one. The swirling undertow that dissolves and defines, albeit only briefly. Telepathy... is direct transference of energy; waves; information; sense-uality to another. This is the stuff that scientists can measure as being real. All the other forms of telepathy can only be "known", and being so amazing in their own right, transcend the rational mind into a powerful silence. > >I would very much like to hear how you go about hearing others thoughts and >sending yours to them. I have herd that you must silence your mind and at >the same time think of the person whose thoughts you wish to read. Is there >more to it? or is the person who told me this pulling my leg. Silence is a vast ocean of possibilities. The more focused and silenced the inner mind is, the better the communication. The only "real" communication is silence first... language and symbols come later. Just the same as the elusive "now", that slips by just as it was being created. Birth and death in a moment. Trust your inner nature and allow the silence to completely flow thru you. Use whats left of the mind to guide you to increasingly deeper silence. When something like a thought enters... just allow it to flow by, and then return to the focal intent. Whatever that may be. >This skill would be useful, and life saving in some situations, so if you >have a method you would like to share, it would be much appreciated. > >P.S. I'm more surrounded by the "syncronicity" of the moment. If telepathy happens to happen... then there ya are. It finds me, rather than I find it. Pay attention however to the 'blind spots'; 'sunspots' and 'auric-flames' that hover between this world and that. Silencing your mind is not the most appropriate expression... calming it is more like it. Maybe for you to hear (think?) other people's thoughts, your own must be a bit subdued... Don't try to silence your mind completely, meditation doesn't work that way. Meditation for me is (among other things) an act of contemplating one's thoughts and let them come and go without affecting you. So when you're trying to shut up your mind and can't, don't try. Try instead to let the thoughts die and others come, like waves crashing against the shore, or when you're under water and watching the waves roll in the surface, without affecting you. And when you're watching your thoughts in detachment, try to ficus them on your "target", but don't force yourself. Think about the person, visualize them or something, and watch your thoughts change. Eventually peace descends and the chattering stops. It is easier, I found, to begin meditating earnestly in a group. with someone guiding the grup on a structured visualisation meditation. Group meditation is dramatically more powerful, too. Look out for a group near you.
