Going back to the Travellers page, I've noticed that there's not many people paired up for group trips and monthly practice. Certainly not nearly as many as those who post into the newsgroup. And some of those paired, I haven't seen a post from in quite some time. (Not sure if Silk's still around, Julia .. and I wonder if the same has happened to other pairs) Also noticed that there's a list of names at the site that still haven't been paired up. Are you all still here, and still looking? Jean and Frod have done so much for the site already ... maybe we can give them a boost by starting a thread here of those who would still like to be paired, and then forwarding the information on over. I'm not sure if many of those who signed up at the site are still posting into the group .. or not. Those that are experienced may want to join in with an interested newbie. It's already late for the Parthenon trip ... but not too early to pair up for next month. Any newcomers out there interested, serious, and willing to dedicate some time? (Seriously consider the amount of time and consistency needed) Any other regulars or experienced lurkers willing to extend a hand? Jean has offered her assistance in the past ... and I don't mind helping to pair people up as well. Feel free to post into the group, or e-mail me (preferably the "silence" address below. The other has been giving me some problems) ............. Everyone is welcome. Don't let a lack of experience stop you. Everyone has something to offer, and something to learn. Greetings from Florida .................... Many people have found a higher success rate meeting individuals, rather than finding a "spot", so we were hoping that having two people work together may increase our success ratio. Teamwork. : ) Last I looked .. I think there was a time zone chart at the site. If you're paired up with someone in a different time zone ... we can figure out the difference, and find a way to make it work. Chances are you'll find someone close to your zone. I usually have OBEs as I fall asleep at night. Most people have OBEs in the early morning hours .... so for me, a time zone difference between 6 and 8 hours would actually be a good thing. Personally, I think the buddy system could be a great tool for success. You don't have to be having OBEs already ... just need to have a sincere interest in them, and the dedication to work with your partner. I also think that there are lots of lurkers out there in the newsgroup who would like to try, but are afraid of disappointing themselves, or their partner. Don't worry about it. : ) It should all be very relaxed and easy. There's also many people from different countries who could be paired up with someone close to them. .................................................... Morning is no good as I am an late night person and wake up just in time to leave for work. > Personally, I think the buddy system could be a great tool for success. > You don't have to be having OBEs already ... Hmmm, so I would be an possible newbie. Up to now I had not answered because I thought that it was about collaborating in the excursions and that some prior success in going OBE was needed. But so far I have only had twice the vibrations (once relax and concentrate on breathing method, once trance method). No actual OBE. No meetings with spirits/helpers/guardians or any other beings either. More general: Interest in parapsychology since 10-15 years. Complete skeptic up to a few years ago. Only heard of OBE 1 year ago, when surfing spiritweb. Particularly attracted to it because of Peterson "do it yourself" method to learn to be an psychic. Before this 2 cases of precognition (one 10 years ago in parapsychology course predicting cards, one 1 1/3 year ago spontan at home predicted an accident). > just need to have a sincere > interest in them, and the dedication to work with your partner. Interest is here. Just I keep on getting distracted by thoughts and wander off into daydreams (result of lively phantasy and long standing habit of daydreaming before going to sleep, that I have got to break). All of a sudden I wake up the next day, annother attempt failled :-( Done that 100s of times. > I also think that there are lots of lurkers out there in the newsgroup who > would like to try, but are afraid of disappointing themselves, or their > partner. So please let us > all know what you think about the current project .. and how we could make > it even better. Meetings in general: great. For me the first real proof that OBE is really more than just "in the head". Proves at the least telepathy, if not even the astral plane. Your comment on places vs persons: I also think that the "meeting people" ones have been more success, Silks party being the first big hit (but this is skewed by me reading all of the newsgroup and only a small bit of the reports on Frodpods page, lack of time :-)). More people taking part: hopefully I will one day be able to add myself to the participants. Improvements (method): perhaps posting the results direct to the group (to avoid influencing, with an delay and all at the same time), but that may be not enough scientific for some and may also be to much traffic. So perhaps the status quo in method is the best possible. Improvements (targets): perhaps alternate monthly between a place and a person. Hope these comments help. -- home: Neil.Franklin@ccw.ch.remove http://www.ccw.ch/Neil.Franklin/ work: franklin@arch.ethz.ch.remove http://caad.arch.ethz.ch/~franklin/ *** It's true ! That is, wanting it too much. The PEAR studies at Princeton indicate that telekinesis and remote viewing are largely independent of spatial and _temporal_ distances. I guess it isn't too far fetched to apply this also to OBEs. So what does it mean? It could be possible for two or more persons to go OBE, say, a couple of weeks apart, and still meet somewhere out there. What do you think? But maybe our mind needs to be tricked into it by sticking to temporal coincidence, because it's used to think in these categories. But _if_ it works, people could post their reports of the last one or two months, where they think they could have met someone else (their partners), at once, to see if there was any success. Anyway, please don't get too serious about it, there's no proof of anything except for the very people who have had the experience... Kind regards, Andreas PS: Oh, by the way, if you happen to see a silent bystander at your next meeting, don't chase him off, it could be me (hopefully)! ;) Still working on it...
