I asked: Was the magic wand about 15cms long, 1cm wide, translucent, white >and flat, with rainbows running up and down it? I bought a wand of >selenite about 11pm last night after attending a workshop in which my >chakras were most spectacularly opened and balanced with heat, light >and colour by a large selenite wand. I slept with it on my breast, >between heart and solar plexus chakra. Did I drop it, then? Keep it as >a present! :-) And Trish replied: Wow Julia! I remember it being almost opaque in color. And yes, that's exactly the right size! I just found it, lying there on the ground. Not sure whose it was! I had only just bought it (very cheap, half the price of a decent paperback book) that night. I usually 'choose' my crystals, but this one chose me. The group of meditators I was with had passed this around, bought other ones, and several people complained how itchy and tingly this one was. They were putting it back in the case, when I said "Does no-one else want it, poor thing? I'll have it." and bought it, although it didn't tingle for me. I usually cleanse, programme and charge my crystals, but that night I just used it straight from the shop (nice shop!) as I was feeling so good after the large selenite wand 'tuned me up'. In exchange, the wand flew me to the meeting and then took on an independent existance! The excellent book 'Love is in the earth' by Melody has a lot of interesting information about selenite: Amngst other virtues, selenite: "provides for clarity of mind, expanding one's awareness of the self and of one's surroundings. It can be used to access past-lives as well as future lives - the future lives being those which are probable at this time, if one's physical life proceeds in the direction in which it is now going. The access is provided by rubbing ...with a finger or thumb (not fingernail)... when the meditative state is obtained, the visiual images will begin... the access to the future is very compatible with this life - one will be presented with situations which are very likely to occur during this life on this plane (again, dependent upon the course of progree one chooses). ...Selenite has been used as a sharp sword of awareness, cutting through unconscious assumptions and promoting the re-connection between the conscious self and the mystic which lives in the super-consciousness. ...Allows one to see the inner workings of any situation and to understand the superficial AND the deeper meanings inherent in same. It also allows one to access the interior of the physical body in order to understand existing disorders, providing information with respect to the 'fix'.... It has also been used to extend one's life span. Vibrates to the number 8." So, all rush out and buy yourselves selenite wands, eh! Look, Lars, no drugs! All best wishes, Julia HM. ###### From: "claire" Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: Re: Selenite Wands Date: 17 Jul 1998 14:08:33 GMT Organization: http://www.supernews.com, The World's Usenet: Discussions Start Here Lines: 34 Message-ID: <01bdb1a4$0aa3c5e0$23e555c6@default> References: <35af0a46.8443620@news.dial.pipex.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: 198.85.229.35 X-Trace: 900684513 KESTV.NODE523C655C usenet76.supernews.com X-Complaints-To: newsabuse@supernews.com X-Newsreader: Microsoft Internet News 4.70.1155 Path: ccw.ch!pfaff.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!news-ge.switch.ch!news.maxwell.syr.edu!newsfeed.wli.net!Supernews73!supernews.com!Supernews69!not-for-mail Julia Hawkes-Moore wrote in article <35af0a46.8443620@news.dial.pipex.com>... > So, all rush out and buy yourselves selenite wands, eh! > Look, Lars, no drugs! > All best wishes, Julia HM. > Hey! Science and spirituality are on a collision course right towards each other. I'd love to be there when it happens. : ) My own hot spots are paleoanthropology, primatology, and what I can understand of quantum physics. Knowing what I experienced with Julia, I went out looking for some Selenite today. Didn't find any, but eventually I'll happen across some. Why not? I like to keep a more practical and scientific approach when I can, because I enjoy asking questions and delving for answers. But I'd be an ass if I ignored the lessons Julia has to offer because her approach is different than mine. If people become dependent of amulets and wands and such, then that's their choice. Same thing with beliefs systems and OBEs ... if works, it works. And who are we to judge what works? Greetings from Florida .................... LOL Because you have an affinity with cats it doesn't follow you were ever a Wiccan. Perhaps you were BUT perhaps in a past life you were something like a zoo curator who particularly looked after the "cats", or looked after "temple" cats etc.. :-) Regards, John. **************************************************** ,-._|\ John Fitzsimons - Melbourne, Australia. / Oz \ johnf@melbpc.org.au, Fidonet 3:632/309 \_,--.x/ http://www.vicnet.net.au/~johnf/welcome.htm v http://www.alphalink.com.au/~johnf/ ###### From: dgarland@aol.com (DGarland) Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: Re: Selenite Wands Lines: 21 Message-ID: <1998081421380200.RAA26961@ladder03.news.aol.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: ladder03.news.aol.com X-Admin: news@aol.com Date: 14 Aug 1998 21:38:01 GMT References: <6p3jvi$9ll$1@news-2.news.gte.net> Organization: AOL http://www.aol.com X-Newsreader: AOL Offline Reader Path: ccw.ch!pfaff.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!news-ge.switch.ch!news.maxwell.syr.edu!newsfeed.wli.net!152.163.199.16!portc04.blue.aol.com!audrey03.news.aol.com!not-for-mail In article <6p3jvi$9ll$1@news-2.news.gte.net>, "Trish" writes: > >Now we just need to reconstruct the botany of Africa about 5 million years >ago. Apparently, mushrooms appear in cave art and artifacts from thousands of years ago. The mushrooms disappeared after climate changes. They speculate that alcohol was originally used to try to replace the mushrooms. Dave Garland What if they gave a flame war, and nobody came?
