I eventually decided to meditate (in the dream). I sat upright and closed my eyes. Almost immediately I felt strong vibrations in my head and was quite surprised at having made the shift so quickly. I would say that I was no where near the physical, but the experience was very clear and lucid. With experiences like this, I don't even bother trying to determine if it was a lucid dream or OBE - I just know I was conscious in another place. Like so many other times, I could feel a pleasant warmth and a gentle breeze. I just walked around enjoying it all when I noticed a large four legged animal (about the size of a pony) walking in some woods about 20-30 feet away from me (I was on a dirt road next to the woods). It was just wandering around but I knew it was making its way toward me because it had its eyes on me. It went behind a tree - I heard some rustling, and then this small goat came out from behind the tree. I got a creepy feeling because this goat was walking upright on its hind legs like a human. It was only about 2.5 feet tall. I told it to stay away from me, but it just kept coming at me, so I held out my hand and said, "Be gone, POOF!" and it instantly disappeared. A few seconds later, another menacing creature came toward me from out of the woods. It was like a small boy, but his head was unusually round and out of proportion with the body (larger than normal). I treated him the same as the goat. Then another creature came at me and I made him disappear too. Then two full sized adult men appeared before me. I made them go away as well, but this was getting quite bothersome, so I just pulled myself out of the experience thinking that it simply wasn't going to be a very good trip if I had to keep defending myself against these nasty entities. Oh well - I just felt in the mood to share some things today :-) Bart ###### From: "Trish" Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: Re: More on this morning (evil entities?) Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming - LaBerge and Rheingold (ISBN-034537410-X) The Dream Workbook - Morris (ISBN-0449210413) Those are the only two books that I could grab quickly and have an index listing the Senoi. I know I've read some stuff on them in other books. The Dream Workbook has many references to the Senoi and lists other references. Demanding a reward in the form of a creative gift definately works - for me at least (when I remember to use it). AFAIK (not much :-)) it has to do with the pagan god Pan (depicted with goat horns and feet), the god of nature, wildness, etc, being the exact opposite of the "in control" virtues of the christian god in the days when paganism was being stamped out. Of course... I totally forgot about Pan. Hmmm 'Pantheism'? Paganism? Same thing? Related? Of course they are related - Pantheism is related to everything... The interesting thing is that I have a friend who identifies with Paganism. I don't know much about it, actually. But the friend was visiting and it was only a day after the friend left that I had the experience with the two legged goat - yet Pan had a human face, didn't he? Even still, you've got me wondering if I actually saw Pan. What a trip. What a loss to have made him dissappear if it actually was him. He wasn't playing a flute or anything.... But music is often a part of my experiences, and the sounds of flutes are common. Since I've also met up with fairies a few times, and some other 'mythological' creatures, I wonder if I'm accessing places that others in history have accessed and later wrote about. I'm not at all interested in that type of mythology - but it seems I'm drawn into those areas anyway and they surprise me. Then I later find out the possible accuracy. Such as with the fairies and now the goat. Very little of this seems to be caused by suggestion. I must remember to have more interaction with these creatures instead of fearing them simply because I don't know them or the fact that they look strange. I'm learning that there are individual "gods" for specific things. I'm also learning that - even though they are quite powerfull - I can pass them if I understand that my forward motion is greater than their stagnant position. I can get past them - but not without becoming them first. You are right, of course. Two completely different definitions. Two completely different points of view of the same thing... I would suggest that paganism is the kindergarten view of pantheism. Paganism separates all the forces into individual powers. I agree that such a point of view is valid - but... it is limited and divided because of the limited point of view of humankind itself. Nothing wrong with that. It seems to be the original plan to begin with. All is God (Pantheism) but it is divided by our points of view regarding physics, emotion, and spirituality - none of which are actually separate - but appear as such when viewed with a specific attitude. Nobody is guilty for having such an attitude, but it doesn't mean they will fully profit from it or know the entire truth... How can anyone know the complete truth when they split it up into little bits that don't seem to relate? Unlike so many others - I have failed to find anything that doesn't relate to one big thing. Perhaps I'm missing something here for I still find myself in a battle... I have yet to find any other point of view which can convince me that we are something other than God looking at Itself from every possible angle. --- for God so loved the earth that he threw a great rock at it to kill all the dinosaurs so that we would have gasoline to power the cars that pollute the air as we drive to church in order to praise him... Hey - makes sense to me. Sorry for the rambling... Funny... I once owned a 'Rambler'. It was stolen by another point of view... I know where you are coming from though, sometimes I feel like saying something but then I think "no that would probably just annoy the shit out of everyone" But I find some of your points of view quite interesting, and most all of your replys pretty funny. > Bart -- -Zac I have great faith in fools, self-confidence my friends call it. --Edgar Allen Poe ###### From: bartma12@ix.netcom.com(Bart Scott) Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: Re: More on this morning (evil entities?)
