Do >you think there >is an afterlife? Christopher, the answer is yes and no imagine a two dimensional being, only knowing back and forth, left and right, UP and DOWN is totally nonexistence to him, he can't even imagine what exactly what's up and down is, it's just totally blown its mind. If you ask him if there such thing as UP/DOWN, he would look at you funny and said what's that? Then one day a third dimentional being up in the ceiling drop down infront of this 2dimensional, as if by magic, since the 2d being have no concept of what 3 dimension is. If you ask the 3d being if there is an UP/DOWN, it would naturally said Yes. Now, close your eyes and try to imagine a 4th dimension, it is right infront of you except you can't see it, because your eyes/brain are design to process 3d informations. Fortunately, you are not restricted only to this third dimension, you can clearly see the other dimensions when you are oobing. It's a different "life" as you know it here in the 3dimension, but there are definitely life. ###### Path: ccw.ch!elna.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!news.belnet.be!newspump.monmouth.com!newspeer.monmouth.com!worldfeed.gte.net!nntp.flash.net!excalibur.flash.net!not-for-mail From: "Evelyn" Newsgroups: alt.out-of-body Subject: Re: Afterlife Date: 28 May 1998 05:02:22 GMT Organization: Flashnet Communications, http://www.flash.net Lines: 15 Message-ID: <01bd89f7$5a99d3c0$464f1ed1@logmein.flash.net> References: <356C9E87.717C@ne.infi.net> NNTP-Posting-Host: lash16-70.flash.net X-Newsreader: Microsoft Internet News 4.70.1155 Yup. -- Trust in Allah, but tie up your camel. -Evelyn christopher wrote in article <356C9E87.717C@ne.infi.net>... > x-no-archive: yes > > This question is for those who have traveled outside their bodies. What are you theories about that? >>This question is for those who have traveled outside their bodies. Do >>>you think there is an afterlife? That might depend a bit on how you define life. Bacteria live, too, so life is a far term. If people are dying young and their structures are still fairly complete I do not exclude that it might take half a year and longer till "second death". Of old folks some say 4 days to 4 months. I believe that when there are just bones they are gone and that it depends on how much is still there. Some of the dacay might also depend on wether they are frozen or cooled a lot, which might change stuff in positive and negative ways. I believe that who they are is decaying with the structures. But not all is gone straight. Just that axon activity is down does not mean "field-perception" is, nor a lot of the perceptions like within magic. But that is just what I believe. And I know that my instincs warn me about being burned after death or stuck too deep under the Earth too early; wish they'd make death-dguard several days until sensing the other one is far enough to have the body left alone and then put dead folks protected in or between trees following the example of some old cultures. Maybe that is superstition, but even when people segregate the skull from the other bones of a skeleton it might make me feel that it sort of should stay together with the rest in a position like it had in life or as an embryo or when dying towards the rest. Though there it feels not that important. With some skulls I also have the feeling - though also quite possibly superstition - that I can sense the degree to which there is still more there than just bone. With corpses even more so. There are some that I register just as a corpse and some others registering as not that dead. But again with most I am not that sure how far I should trust such sensations. There is half a head here in some plastik-looking stuff in a place of a university here where the face is expressing so much being wrong and different sorts of pain that it distracts me from knowing for real how much is still there, though when I scanned on the other levels I did not sense enough to be sure that there was still much of the person around. But I had the distinct feeling that what they had done to that head was utterly wrong. For that I'd like to hear the opinions of people good in magic and would like to study the decay of corpses, tuning into their head possibly even when dying and after that, so that the decay can be felt, and also the differences between people there, like maybe of a magician and someone not used to pereive magical ways with his systems. But I am in a place where people are too enslaved to those ruling them to do so. And those ruling them tell them what (not) to do with their corpses, their children from six till sixteen, what they are to do in a lot of areas all the time of their life ... Would need a free place to study that and get more of a founded opinion about that, but from what one hears the last semi-free places are the ocean, about 200 miles from the shore...
