Because if so, I have to say I don't buy the chakra thing so it wouldn't work for me if it's structured around that. And second, I dont think I could do it anyway. I have onlybeen successful a few times at having an OOBE. However, I often use the chakra techniques to increase awareness during dreaming. In addition, the few times I was successful with the OOBE, I was using the chakra techniques. I guess all I am really saying is not to dismiss the chakra concept entirely, even if it does not work for you right now. I bet there are many who have tried unsuccessfully to have an OOBE and dismissed the entire concept. (by the way, I think I have been reading this news group since I was in college (1991 or so) and this is my first post.... maybe it was some other out of body ng?) Try to get to a point where the pulling is almost passive, where your mind is almost completely shut off and your body is completely relaxed, and the action of mental pulling is the only train of thought you have. You could get a surprise. Paul . Alexa James wrote: > Thanks to those who e-mailed me the unzipped files. Whenever I try, I start climbing up this rope, but within a minute or two, the logical side of my brain takes over and instead of climbing up a rope, I'm pulling one down from the ceiling. I think this is why Bruce says not to visualize the rope, but rather feel it instead. For me that's pretty hard, though. I can't do much without visualization.
