Having just had a quick look on Amazon for reiki / healing related books I was astounded at the number and variety of available books. Being very much of the 'if someone recomends it, it must be good' pursuasion I was wondering if you guys had any recomendations for books, whether they be directly related to reiki or just general good books to read.... My current top 5 would be - Wheels of Life (Anodea Judith) - A great introduction and reference to the chakra system. Combines technical knowledge with some really inspired writings / mediations. Hands of Light (Barbera Brennan) - Comming from a non-reiki healer gives a great insight into the way in which energy and dis-ease opperate. Also has some great info auras and how to read them. Meditation for Every Day (Bill Anderton) - Guided mediations on just about any subject. Combines more spiritual journeys with great de-stressing exercises. Good to dip into at random! Kundalini & the Chakras (Genevieve Lewis Paulson) - Similar to Wheels of Life, but more focused on the way Kundalini works with the energy system. Has a great section on making detailed chakra readings. The Crystal Bible (Judy Hall) - Great basic guide to crystals and their properties. Doesn't go into too much detail, but manages to cram in nearly every crystal imagineable, also has full colour photos which is really usefull for identification. Looking forward to hearing your choices! Fluff & Stuff Dan. ###### From: "pr" Newsgroups: alt.healing.reiki References: <1092048509.54100.0@iris.uk.clara.net> Subject: Re: Good Books? Her "Eastern Body, Western Mind" is a massive improvement on that and also correlates the chakras with western psychology, but then I have a background in that. However, WoL has a lot of physical exercises for the reader which link up with the material covered. If you are into experimenting with your body and meditation, WoL is a good choice, if your interest is more mental, spiritual then "Eb, Wm" may be better. -- Namu Amida Butsu Peter Reber "Life knows its needs"
