Those exams are held every 2, 4 or 6 years, and thousand of people apply. Yesterday, I tried it for the 3rd time. I had been sending distant (in time and space) to myself regularly for the past 10 months or so. Since I'm working i haven't had the time to study the 83 topics. I studied 40 some, but only 15 were throughly worked out. Well, in the exam, the 2 topics in the exam were the ones I knew the best!!. Two years ago, I had a similar experience: i also sent distant reiki, and the 2 topics chosen in the exam were 2 of the 6 I had studied!! out of 83!!. Nevertheless, doing a good exam is not enough; you have to do it better than the rest. Nevertheless, I think it is interesting. In the almost 3 years since I had my first attunement (all of them have been distant attunements BTW), reiki has changed my life in many ways. The change has been gentle enough for me to accept the changes, but when I look back... wow. Any opinions?? Well I'm not sure if it is reiki that's working the 'magic' or not, either way I do think that reiki helps you to 'listen' to your intution much better. As you probably know, time and space are an illusion so its hardly surprising that you chose to study the topics which you already 'knew' would come up! Whenever this kind of happens to me I always think it shows that I am on the right path so keep going!
