Hi Good Folks
I am sorry that this is such a long post, but please bear with me.

I would like to ask some advice relating to an unusual(for me) experience. I
think others in the group may have experienced something similar.
I spent last weekend with a few friends practising Thai massage and a bit of
Reiki. Thai massage is based on energy lines and I always feel energy flow
when I treat someone. We also talked a lot about spirit(s) and one of the
group is actually a medium.

At one point in the day we gave reiki healing to my friend, a sitting short
form and then she went on to be given a seichem attunement. Two of us
watched(is this allowed? :)) and although I would like to be attuned to this
energy I didn't take any part.

However at the end of the day we retired to bed and I woke a little while
later with a lot of heat like a high temeperature, having had quite a
nightmare and feeling quite scared and unwell.
I removed my some of the covers but despite the cold night there temperature
didn't drop. I finally fell asleep only to be literally jolted awake by a
sort of energy zap through my whole body and again the high temeprature. I
finally slept with the light on feeling very strange and buzzy. when I
closed my eyes there were quite a few colours swirling around and faces
froming in the colours. This does actually happen occaisionally to me.
The rest of my dreams that night were to do with helping spirits to 'cross
over' I know it sounds weird, but thats what i dreamt. It wasn't at all
scarey.
In the morning I awoke feeling tired, shakey and still slighty buzzy.

What I was wondering was did i become attuned to siechem energy or was it a
sort of spontaneous self attunement or do folk just think that I overloaded
by being in such a group of 'high energy' friends for a day.

Yes, have some. :-)

Seriously, it could have been any or all of the above, or something
else besides. Hard to say. Try to see what feels like the right answer
to you. I think it would be difficult for someone else to say, "Oh, it
was definitely such and so" and to be correct. The person best
equipped to answer the question is you. Look within for your answers. 

I know this may not sound like much help, but give it a shot!

Thanks Garry

I've been thinking about it and I think I can't be certain, but if it wasn't
a seichim attunement then it was very close. Probably just an opening up to
recieve. It was certainly one of the most intense feelings I have had and i
certainly feel alot more 'connected'. Even just chatting about reiki starts
the old hands a tingling. I know that it's been said that seichim is a
feminine enrgy and the faces that i saw gave the impression of being female
in a swirly kind of way. And no i don't just imagine them. i know we can all
shut our eyes and make images out if we try, but these were different.

I haven't felt that kind of heat all over since Saturday, but enrgy does
flow much more quickly at the moment. Perhaps it was a quick start to remove
some blockage.

Well our snow has been and gone- we never do well in the south of England.
Hopefully we can have a bit more and get to go sledging!

It sounds to me like a kundalini arousal.  I had a few of those and your
descriptions match. You don't need attunements for kundalini. It is earth
energy originating fom the energycentre in your lower back. The firy thing
happens when you're producing more energy than can handle. The energy
pathways are burned clean when the kundalini energy rages through.
Hot, fever like, super energized, not sleeping for nights, electric like
shocks, shivering, hallucinations, strong sexual feelings, burning pains.
All possible. It just depend how much energy was released and how you react
on it. Don't be afraid, fighting it can be very painfull, cooperate with it.
It's evolution!
The Thai massage may have triggered it.

Congratulations, you have just grown a bit energetically!

I spoke too soon. We had an inch or so in about 20 mins at 5pm. took my
hubby an hour to about a mile.
It's now bedtime for the kids but they're building snowmen!!!

First time is that it seems obvious enough that you experienced something.
That in itself is wonderful for you.
As to identifying it well that is another matter all together.
 Who is to say what it represents?
Certainly not anyone who did not experience it themselves.
And if the receiver never experienced it before how than can they identify
it?

It should be enough that you received something and it really isn't
necessary to place in within the context of someone else's description.

I had wondered along the lines of Kundalini, but had no sexual feelings. Was
probably too scared. However as a couple of others have said, it doesn't
rreally matter what you call. I'll just wait and see if it happens again :)
