Just being near someone who had some problem (physical, mental or spiritual) provided that person with relief. I was able to take this pain away. I never had chance to study any healing methods and my parents and family don't believe in God (but I do). In the begining it was hard for me to be in same place with many people (like High Street or shopping centres) but over the years a learned how to "not feel" others suffering if I don't want to. Where is it comming from? What is it what I can feel? Why and How can I feel other person's suffering and feelings? How is it that I know many healing methods without studying it? (Once I was asked by one person to help him with his tired body and pain, so I started massage his body and send positive energy. After session he asked me where I learned "Shiatsu and Reiki" and I asked waht is Shiatsu and what is Reiki because I didn't know. So he explained that he himself is doing Shiatsu and his friends do Reiki, thats why he knows it and what I do looks very similar. Could it be possible? Could I develop Reiki myself without any initiation? What should I do next? I am now 27. Which way should I progress? Please, can anyone give me some advice? The fact that you are using these energies without formal training, and successfully at that, indicates that you have a natural talent and while Reiki may give you further formal training skills, you should not confuse the inherent energies with the process of the learning of the formal aspects of Reiki. I am not sure of how much you have looked into it, however, the historical background to Reiki tends to indicate that the founder may have taught himself reiki and been self attuned. .
