It is something about psychological re-integration and a deep connection to nature. I've described it in a number of ways, and I believe it can be remarked on and elaborated on endlessly. But Dave King's site on Usui-do has a few phrases that express what Usui's spiritual way (the way that Usui taught, and discovered or furthered) is, in essence: "Empathic connection with the self and all of creation." To me, this says a lot and in a few words. The URL for Dave King's site is: http://www.usui-do.org (Thanks for providing the Web addy, Peter Z.) Blessings, montane ###### NNTP-Posting-Date: Thu, 12 Jun 2003 12:03:26 -0500 From: "Peterz" Newsgroups: alt.healing.reiki References: <3ee88fdb.47566919@news.netidea.com> Subject: Re: Dave King's site says it Date: Thu, 12 Jun 2003 12:56:29 -0400 X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2720.3000 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2600.0000 Message-ID: Lines: 50 NNTP-Posting-Host: 64.26.147.186 X-Trace: sv3-W8HiKzM0pJzEOFcQBJ0Z2Meh9fJdjjRnn3eklWG+CFVH3CU+c6/OU1lPB02bC/PNX7lagsoPthHFlO4!biUSJMvDb92zieabPCpy4gP+t6vV3PwFqLrYlGGvybWvn3+8RxRFugjgPjdqY5NG/VTD69Nmgg== X-Complaints-To: abuse@magma.ca X-DMCA-Complaints-To: abuse@magma.ca X-Abuse-and-DMCA-Info: Please be sure to forward a copy of ALL headers X-Abuse-and-DMCA-Info: Otherwise we will be unable to process your complaint properly X-Postfilter: 1.1 Path: chonsp.franklin.ch!pfaff.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!switch.ch!news.imp.ch!news.imp.ch!news-spur1.maxwell.syr.edu!news.maxwell.syr.edu!small1.nntp.aus1.giganews.com!border1.nntp.aus1.giganews.com!intern1.nntp.aus1.giganews.com!nntp.giganews.com!nntp.magma.ca!news.magma.ca.POSTED!not-for-mail Xref: chonsp.franklin.ch alt.healing.reiki:7149 Hi No problem. Ya know, my 1st time giving Reiki was just letting feelings of loving care wash through me. For a while, I got into "trying to fix stuff" - going backwards, probably. Now I am back to where I started (or even "less"). But it is interesting that we can work against ourselves. (There are some studies of TT that show better results with naive practitioners than with more experienced ones. TT is intention-based, so perhaps the more experience, the more intention, while the newbs were just putting their hands out and hoping for a miracle...) When we simplify again, we get back to what it is meant to be IMO. And I saw that simplicity in what you were pointing at.
