Kundalini yoga is a school of yoga, one aspect of which is awakening the snake/ dragon wrapped around the lower spine - which is a metaphor for the life energy / sexual chi energy in all our bodies. Is this what you are talking about, or am I off on completely the wrong track. The formatting of the question seems a little like "Has anyone one done that Buddah thing, or did it just happen in life?"- like any particular Buddah, any particular school, any particular aspect- or would this just be enlightenment in general? Dunno if that helps... Rgds, J. Rgds, J. Perhaps by asking if it `just happened', she was referring to spontaneos kundalini awakening, which I understand can happen even when you're not working toward that as a goal. sue ###### From: "Ruben" Newsgroups: alt.healing.reiki References: Subject: Re: Kundalini Date: Sat, 18 Oct 2003 16:28:40 +0200 X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 5.00.2314.1300 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V5.00.2314.1300 Lines: 32 Message-ID: <3f941de8$0$50946$edd6591c@news.versatel.net> Organization: Versatel NNTP-Posting-Date: 20 Oct 2003 17:39:53 GMT NNTP-Posting-Host: 81.59.248.117 X-Trace: 1066671593 news.versatel.net 50946 81.59.248.117:1102 X-Complaints-To: abuse@versatel.net Path: redlance.franklin.ch!pfaff2.ethz.ch!news-zh.switch.ch!irazu.switch.ch!switch.ch!newsfeed00.sul.t-online.de!newsfeed01.sul.t-online.de!t-online.de!newspeer1-gui.server.ntli.net!ntli.net!news2.euro.net!postnews1.euro.net!news.versatel.net!not-for-mail Xref: redlance.franklin.ch alt.healing.reiki:9800 Yep. It happened to me about a year ago. It was quite scary because I wasn't prepared. It happened spontaniously when I was reading about it. I tried to stop it because of some nasty stories I heard about it. That hurts! But once I let the fear go, I was allright. It happened a few times actually cleaning different chakra's. During these outbursts I had so much energy I couldn't sleep for days but didn't get tired. I felt like an upgraded person afterwards. The last time it didn't burn anymore. It felt like a warm blanket and I had dreams with lots of orange things in it. Creativity and sex drive got a boost too. I got my Reiki 1 attunement last weekend and now I have some control over it l! Don't fear it. If it comes on it's own the you're ready and it will be positive. But don't try to rush it too much or use drugs while doing yoga stuff. You're playing with fire.
