Then I met this man in the street who came up to me and asked me if I was a healer 2 hours later, I told him I had had my first level attunment and he offered me something called "Elfen Reiki". It took only 10 minutes and has no symbols. This is where it gets weird. I broke a bone in my hand 2 days before and he told me I could heal it now, I laughed at him and said "yeah sure ok". He told me to concentrate on my hand and see white gold light flooding into it so I did and the hand is now healed. No briusing no pain and no break! It sounds like you got an extra Reiki lesson from someone into 'Elven Reiki', which I'd never heard of either, but there do seem to be a *lot* of styles of Reiki in general (see http://www.geocities.com/fascin8or/main1.html) so I guess that's just one of them. In fact, I've only just discovered that there exist communities of people who are or believe themselves to be elves. It's good to know that Reiki has reached that community as well - my guess is that the majority of Reiki practitioners are plain ol' humans, though. Just before my first attunement, my teacher warned me that I might feel a bit fluish and freaked out for a while as my body adjusted to the new flows of energy; she told me that I should try and stay calm and practice Reiki every day. Which is exactly what happened. I'm sure I'd have been even more freaked out if I'd also met someone into Elven Reiki as you did. Did the guy give you another attunement, or did he just seem to give you a Reiki 'power-up'? Either way, I have found that meditating on the fact that Reiki is about channeling a healing energy from outside you (rather than doing anything spectacular with your own energy) can be useful when things get a bit weird.
