Holy $#!%, now that I have not forever held my peace, I'll have
to speak up with an ObHack-sion of my own.

ObHack : In cshell, doing a repeat 999999 something, when I knew
very well I won't need it run more than some forty-two times, or
so, but did not know exactly how many times I'll need to run
it.

You can always ^Z Suspend a cshell built-in loop, and fg it back
again. It finishes the current iteration and pulls over to the
shoulder, puts on the blinkers and halts the auto-pilot.

Yuck! Inefficiency, a fork-full of it ... not to mention the
wasted inode on the shell script, and time for execvp() to
parse the #! line and load up /bin/sh.
