AFAIK (do not live in france) the device is just an pre-web web appliance style system, mane and pushed by France Telcom, no lokal smarts. The phone book would have been an application on the network (actually the killer app that the system was originally designed for, to save printing costs for phone books). -- Neil Franklin, neil@franklin.ch.remove http://neil.franklin.ch/ Hacker, Unix Guru, El Eng HTL/BSc, Sysadmin, Archer, Roleplayer - Intellectual Property is Intellectual Robbery
