I have never had an NDE but am extremely intrigued, excited and somewhat envious (not jealous) of those who have had them. I have noticed something however that disturbs me. Now dont get me wrong, I am a VERY loving, forgiving and gentle person yet I love, almost obsessively, the delicious and exquisite feelings associated with sexuality. I am not saying that the afterlife is a bad place, but I am frightened that this place has no room for sexual feelings, desires, etc. I see the afterlife as a frightening and depressing place if there is no room or opportunities to explore, feel, or once again be able to feel the delight of sex and sexuality. I would very much like to know how others feel about this and if you have any insight into what lays ahead. I don't mean to be vulgar but why worry about sex in heaven? "Hey Peter, wheres the rubbers man?" You got to be kidding! Do what I do. Find yourself a really likable woman and dive for a couple of hours. Give your tongue a real work out. Sex isn't bad in of itself. How could two people giving each other pleasure be bad? Unless you're spreading the big A or other nasty viruses. Its only when sex leads to jealously and resulting possible murder that its bad. So in primitive times you had to have primitive rules of conduct. Anything which leads to possible evil, even when its not evil, was taboo. In the past jealous men would think nothing of killing an unfaithful wife. Killing is bad. VERY BAD! And anything leading up to it is to. An example. Why do you think Jesus let a prostitude go freely, with the message her sins were forgiven and for her not to sin no more? Didn't she sin? Where was the punishment? Where was the wrath of God? Where was the angry and jealous God? Where is the God who is more than willing to have sinners burn in Hell forever? Was he on strike? Did Jesus lie? Is it all bullshit? Jesus knew that no real harm was intended by her. She wasn't evil. Nor was sex. But her acts could lead to jealously and worst someday by an angry person. So the act was sinful, and yet not. She could be forgiven, easily. And she should refrain from similiar acts. If everytime you knocked on a door, people became angry enough to kill and you wanted to control killing, what rule would you enforce? What about, "Thou shall not knock on doors". Prevents killing, right? Did God ever explain why sins are sinful? Nope, he left that out. You assumed that the acts themselves were always evil. But is that always true? Even with killing? What did Moses do to the soliders following him? He killed them. Could he, with the power of God backing him, just have send them away? Sure he could, but didn't. Why? Or right after, just moments after presenting his people with a big rule -'THOU SHALL NOT KILL' - he killed half of his disloyal people. Why? Where was the morality in that? Ever think about it at all? The morality? And don't say God did it and he is allowed because he made us. That argument doesn't work. I'll tell you why. That assumes that might makes right. That is what Hitler believed. So does the Devil. And I'm assuming a Holy Ghost who expresses so much concern about your concerns doesn't believe that either. As a matter of fact he can't, we're all a part of him. If he mistreats us, he mistreats himself. No one sane does that. I hope. And being the part of God who judges individuals, he was able forgive in the name of God. Being the part of God who judges. If Jesus was truely a part of God, and God was a composite mind of all the left brains in Mankind, which was included in the mind of the Holy Ghost then couldn't he say, I'm in the Father, he is in me, we both are in the Holy Ghost, the Holy Ghost is in me, in everyone, and I still pray and ask for premission from the Father. So simple. Would have been simplier if he just told it all. But trust was a big issue with God. A truely all-powerful and all-knowing God wouldn't ask a stupid question like this, "Abraham, will you kill your son for me?" But a God of left brains, concerned about the ill-effects of a right brain, Satan controled brain, would. He needed loyality to win his battle against the Devil and because of his true makeup, never could afford to take for granted he had it. And never did. All this NDE stuff is really about the Holy Ghost. The Father's Father. Or is is Mom? People are more important than the rules. Souls are more important than their deeds. One grows and the other fades forever in the past. Then was then and today is today. That is why he was so easy in judgement. Even he had to mellow and discover his own role over time. If you didn't notice, he revealed the truth about himself quite late in the game. One other point about him for those who like making fun of him. Why didn't he have a woman? Would you, knowing the cross was waiting for you in the near future? Would you create a family when you knew you wouldn't be there for them in the future just to have sex? Unless you hid it. Have you ever asked yourself why sex is so much better with someone you love? Not that raw sex can't be good, sometimes its very good. No one can deny that. But isn't making love to someone you really like, always much better than just someone who just looks great and thats providing you're not shallow. Sometimes looks tell you what a person might be like inside and that helps you like someone better yet. Can't deny that either. A type of look matters more than just plain looks. Taste. Flavors for sexual excitement. And each of us has what we like to taste best in love making. Souls reach for each other in sex. You can do that in heaven anyway. Completely merge with each other. What would you call that? SUPERSEX. Don't worry about sex in the afterlife, you'll have an improved version of it. Question is, how do new souls get started? Like or not like babies. Or do souls split sometimes, when they are big enough. Are soul mates, souls which were once the same soul? Or just souls which have loved each other many times over, in many past lives? Anyone with any ideas on this topic? But while you're down here(and a guy), DIVE. Play submarine. Like a friend of mine likes to say, EATING IS GOOD. And forget this afterlife sex. You'll get it soon enough when you come back again. How did you ever get concerned about afterlife sex in the first place? ###### From: abmacf@sonic.net (Alan B. At long last someone who askes about souls starting and not just simply declaring by default that they have allways existed! I see following variants: - allways existed, just take up a body every so often problem: there are today 6 mio bodies, ergo min 6 mio souls, where were they before, in a soul jam (as in traffic jam)? - souls split whenever a new one is needed for a new child problem: which soul splits, the mothrs? both father and mother? if the later, how do they merge to form a child? - a new soul starts as part of the body forming process problem: I see no problem for this one - any other method problem: I know of no other Analog to this quesion we also have the end of a soul: - end as soon as body dies, is only side effect of body problem: where do phenomena such as spirits and ghosts come from, where the characteristics of a died person stay intact - soul becomes independant of body at bodies death, spirit for ever problem: of what does the soul consist after death? is it immortal or does there exist some form of soul death? If so by what? - soul becomes independant of body at bodies death, reincarnates immedately problem: how does a soul transfer, what happens to an "indigenous" soul of that body, is it suppressed or incorporated into the reincarnated - soul first independant and later reincarnation problem: both of the above ones - any other method problem: I know of no other Feel free to add further suggestions. Also feel free to comment on the problems or suggest better interpretations. -- Neil.Franklin.remove.this@ccw.ch, http://www.ccw.ch/Neil.Franklin/ for Geek Code, Papernet, Voicenet, PGP public key see http: If I go missing, its once again my newsfeed that has craped ###### Path: ccw.ch!usenet From: Neil.Franklin.remove.this@ccw.ch Newsgroups: alt.consciousness.near-death-exp Subject: Re: SEX AND SINS! Perhaps you had better look at that post again and put your name in where I put Scotts as well. It's not about judgements on whether Bob needs therapy, it's not about judgement at all! Bob says what Bob says, take what you think is correct and move on! Or, share where, what and why you disagree with Bob, so that those of us that would really like to hear your reasons for disagreement can learn something. This name calling thing gets old really quick. It's sort of like you are a rational adult in one post and a mad child pointing fingers and name calling in another. Read your own post about the mirroring in your life (I am talking to Alan here) and take a look at what this post shows you about yourself. Basically, heed your own advice and don't say "Here's my advice, I'm not using it.". Just an observation, Alan. With gratitude, Drew
