But here is a little hint for YOU...go to deja on line and go to alt.ascii-art find the angel scroll down and hit...view in orginial format....WOW comes out perfect...in fact all my pics i have posted come out perfect...Funny everyone else that has seen them say they are coming out fine...so must just be you! hmmmm I try and remove all alt charcters from my art...but my eye is not yet trained to catch them all...so sorry! but they will view fine on deja or even in my reader...I have only been posting here for a couple of weeks....so please give me a little time to get used to it....If you are head of this newsgroup and find my art not worthy of posting then please pull it! Otherwise bite the bullet and i am sure your viewing my art in whatever format you are seeing it in will level off.... Deja, like my newreader (presently), and many others readers, and most likely yours also, is set to the default of using Latin1 (iso-8859-1) character set. Char 187 is part of iso-8859-1. It is not part of ASCII (iso-646), which is actually a subset of 8859-1 (OK, 8859-1 is a superset of 646, same as Unicode (iso-10464) is a superset of 8859-1 *). * logically, physically it is a subset of 646 when UTF-8 coded and somewhat derived from 8859-1 when UTF-16 or UTF-32 coded. Because I use an iso-8859-1 character set (other groups I am in require this). But that still isn't ASCII.
