According to the myth, Sleipner had eight legs. The nordic gods (Odin, Thor, Froya, and the rest) are vell know in Norway (my home country), Sweeden (Veronica) and probably also in Denmark (CeeJay). I even thought you finnish guys knew them, but it seems I'm wrong here. -- Herman Andresen (Sigless, but hey, maybe someone could help me?) herman.andresen@ski.online.no ###### From: "Prudence" Newsgroups: alt.ascii-art Subject: Re: Horses... Indeed, it's not the best known aspect of Odinism in Finland. I have just been doing some studies of our own viking age culture, and it's rather interesting to see how we had our own variant of the religion, just more animistic. We had Ukko (old man), the god of thunder leading the pantheon for instance. Basically the same stuff, but somewhat simplified. We would have kept our thunder and nature worshipping ways too, if you pure-Viking Odinist types wouldn't have let yourselves be turned to christians, and then come over to convert the Clans of Suomi by the sword. :D (ok, it was mostly the Swedes, and they came to stay) -Mikko, the Adept "thinker, dreamer and adventurer" **** - Hey ape, your planet is dying - ****
