1. download and unpack the .tar.gz distribution file into any directory

2. modifiy  Makefile  to tell it about which of the programs you want
   to handle at the moment, by setting the  PROG =  variable

3. change into the directory of that program

4. type  make  to generate the various binary files

5. to install type  make install  to copy/upload to the ATmega Flash

6. there exists no uninstall, simply overwrite the ATmega
